First time visit to this place after a long walk at Wendover Woods. Staff were helpful and prompt with service and food. However food wasn’t particularly hot when served which was disappointing as we had 5 hungry kids to feed! The 4 adult meals were not particularly hot either which was disappointing. Prices were reasonable for the food ordered and there was also a huge beer garden and play area to the rear which was very handy for the kids to play in.
Lovely place, my 1st time here. Friendly staff, excellent food & my best mixed grill ever. Catering for disabled as my friend is in a wheelchair. Quick service, prices represent food quality. Will be going back when I'm passing by again. Plenty of spaces to park & you can stay next door for the night.Food: 5/5
Myself and my husband visited here recently for dinner, not been here for quite a while. Very nice waitress called Jo served us. Upon mentioning it was the anniversary of when we first started going out, she returned with a lovely gift from the team at The Crows Nest. Nice gesture and totally unexpected. Food, service and view were all good Will return again soon
Festive menu was fantastic. Great staffs and food presentation was really good. We had a good time with family.Food: 5/5
Staff were attentive and we were quickly seated for our booked table. The seating was perfectly socially distanced. Our dinner arrived promptly. However, mine was not very hot so I had to ask for it to be warmed up. I could have had a fresh dinner but I hate waste. The food was very nice but think how hot the food is served needs to be reviewed and the plates warmed to help maintain the temperature of the food when it is served.
The waitress Carlisle was great. The steak was cooked just how I like it, but was really disappointed in garnishes and the paltry amount of chips served with £20 meal. Used to go regularly, but not impressed this time
I haven't been here for over 20 years and I wasn't disappointed. The food was very good. It was hot and was served on hot plates, which was a nice surprise. Our waitress was lovely despite being very busy she was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant especially if you're going at lunchtime.Food: 5/5
I liked it here the service was good the ladies attended to us regularly and the food was tasty. The macaroni cheese we ordered as a side was so yummy will definitely order that dish again. I had the salmon substituted the fries for vegetable rice and my friend didn't want her corn cob minis so I had them and I enjoyed the slightly cajan flavour to them. I would eat here again and probably try the daytime menu instead of the main one just to switch it up and judge the daytime food options
We got drinks from the bar and went to sit by the doors closest to the outside play area. I went to play with my daughter and my husband stayed inside. He came out to us in the rain as he was kicked out of the dining area we sat in. We then moved to another table and were rudely stopped by the hostess who said the table was booked. There was so many open tables and we couldn't even sit in the closed empty area. Just to sit! So we were forced to move back to the entrance with our drinks in hand and she then pointed out the "please wait to be seated" sign - which was totally unnecessary. We said that we weren't really interested in eating so she said then that the bar area was where we need to sit... With our two year old. No offer of a better seat for my daughter. It was a shambles. The carpets are filthy. The women's restroom smells horrendous which really sets the tone for the whole place. I really do not recommend it as a place to go with family or at all.
Just had the Christmas family meal. The best things was the prawn and salmon starter. The main turkey roast was cold and Yorkshires microwaved to the point of not possible to cut or chew. The puddings were cold and tasteless. The menu looks like it could have so much potential but it's missing alot to get to what it's advertising. Such a shame.
