I always come to Reading to see my Auntie and we stayed here for 4 Years every year! It’s a Beautiful hotel. Staff are lovely and helpful at reception. Food is nice so is the Breakfast. Really nice sitting room, They have a Gym, Sauna, Steam room and a nice swimming pool. We stayed over the weekend again and again it was fantastic. Rooms are nice but heartbroken Crowne Plaza Reading is closing permanently on the 31st December. Me and my family will have Great memories of the hotel.
Was at an event here on the 1st November and it was an absolute shambles from start to finish. Over 150 people and 2 bar staff on. Ran out of drink after two hours, started selling warm Budweiser out of a box out the back. The staff just didnt care a jot.nThe food, it was meant to be a warm buffet. It was one of the worst spreads I’ve seen served and it was nothing to do with what was ordered. Will never be back. Avoid if you’re looking to have an event here
I stayed overnight, room was comfortable and had everything needed. Corridors etc are tired but the hotel is closing soon. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly. It’s on a busy junction so there can be street noise.
Great place to stay if visiting London. £6 taxi journey to train station, or 20min walk. Breakfast is brilliant. Staff are so helpful. Rooms are immaculate. Really can't fault the place
We recently had our wedding reception at the Crowne Plaza Reading. The day went perfectly and we have the Crowne Plaza team to thank for that. The event teams were very receptive to our questions and requests in the months leading up to the wedding. This made us feel well organised. The hotel catering team provided very delicious food. All our guests commented about how nice it was. The room looked beautiful when everything was laid out.nnWe really liked having our own garden area for our guests to enjoy. The location is perfect. Both picturesque and near the town centre for our guests that travelled by public transport.nnOn the day, the team were available and quick to respond to all of our needs. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. One we will remember fondly for the rest of our lives.
