Good location on the side of the Thames where you can enjoy a pleasant walk or run or take a River cruise. Our room was fine despite overlooking the carpark. Excellent accessible free parking. The leisure complex was well appointed and the pool was very warm. We stayed on a room only basis and found a good value cafe for breakfast opposite the hotel. The river spice Indian restaurant also almost opposite proved a good choice for dinner. There are various dining options within a few minutes walk of the hotel. Staff were friendly and there was a pleasant ambiance. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Nice comfortable stay. Lovely helpful staff. Good breakfast. Shame Spa area and treatments not open the weekend we stayed (Nov) as was partly why we booked. However, the guest Lounge did help to make up for it a little. Would stay again. Investment in warmer external windows and doors Thames side would improve score.

Very lovely hotel which is to be expected with Crowne Plaza. Location is right on the river and still close enough to the town center of Reading [only a 20 minute walk]. Our room was very nice clean and tidy along with a lovely balcony overlooking the river. Unfortunately it was raining whilst we were here so we did not really use it. Hotel has a Gym/Pool which were both very good. Pool area had a Steam & Sauna room along with a Hot tub. The pool was large enough for several people to be using and not get in each others way. Gym facilities were good equipment was working and enough of each item. Only had breakfast at the hotel which was full English and very nice, a typical self service buffet style with hot/cold food along with cereal and fruits.

Lovely hotel and staff. The room and breakfast are priced just right. There are also other services like swimming pool and sauna that I unfortunately didn't have time to try buy this hotel like every other Crown Plaza I've tried are spotless and affordable.

A very attractive and beautifully finished hotel situated on the banks of the Thames. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and worked hard to make the guests stay first class. Leisure facilities are very good. Would definitely recommend. Alan
