Called in here for the first time after a walk . Warm welcome for us and our dog! Service was very good and our meals were excellent. Fresh ingredients, home-made. Family had fish and chips and I had roasted hake. All cooked perfectly. Will definitely visit again.
Excellent service, beautiful food. We will definitely be back. Special thanks to the lady that served us and reccomended the pork belly, it was the best I've tasted. The Tomahawk steak went down very well with the other half. Thank you
We just dropped into The Crown Inn today and was pleasantly surprised, the service and atmosphere was very friendly and efficient. The food was great, we both had the fish and chips, they were lovely, I had the small, which was more then small, Dave had the large, which was two fish! The fish was ample and white with lovely light batter, with great chunky chips. Plus it was all piping hot.I would recommend a visit. The whole menu looks great. We will be visiting again Thank you to Will and Chef
Friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere. The food was fresh and delicious with good portion sizes. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Visiting North Wales from Yorkshire with friends and decided to call in on the Crown Inn for dinner. Fabulous welcoming atmosphere, with a good selection of meals on the menu. we all agreed the food was absolutely delicious. The duck rolls starter melted in your mouth and the seafood mixed grill was to die for. Will definitely be calling again next time we visit N Wales
Booked our works Christmas meal and we weren’t disappointed. The food was superb, very tasty and cooked to perfection. The service was brilliant, the waitress was extremely polite and attentive. Would highly recommend and all 12 of us will be returning in the New Year. Merry Christmas to The Crown and all the staff
Warm welcome; friendly and attentive service, without being intrusive. A good atmosphere and, best of all, some great food - the four of us had different starters and different main courses; we all thought that they were lovely. My one regret being that I was too full to try the sticky toffee pudding... 4 adults, three courses each, including drinks and a bottle of wine. £140. Complaints, I have none. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
I don't very aften write a review, but this time I feel I must. This place is a gem, we picked this place for an evening meal while on holiday and I can honestly say it was fantastic. The food was hot, very tasty and well presented. The service was quick and the staff were very helpful would highly recommend
My wife and I were 'walk ins' at 5.30pm. Whilst at the bar, ordering drinks my wife chose a table at which to sit. This was in the bar area with just one other table occupied. On being served I was asked if I had a reservation and replied "No. We are just intending to drink". I was served and took the drinks to the table. The Crown is a very presentable establishment and we were happy to be there. My wife had looked through a very presentable menu and suggested that we could order a large Moules as a sharer. We were influenced by the presentation of the meals at the adjoining table. I went to the bar to duly order and when asked where we we sitting I pointed out the table. I was then told " That table is reserved, you'll have to move!". There was no indication at the table that it was reserved. Had there been then my wife would not have chosen. The lifeblood of hospitality establishments is to ensure that first time visitors return. The manner in which we were told to move was not appreciated and the, subsequent, offer of an alternative table did not ameliorate the situation. We will not be returning.
The décor and furnishings are clean and the overall ambience is very much of a traditional cosy pub. We went on a Friday night it was a get together of eleven old mates, it was very busy and all the customers and staff appeared happy and animated. Despite this noise levels were comfortable. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and efficient. A great night was had by all.
