06/2022 Now closed up for let. 3/2022 seems to have changed hands, poor quality breakfast, cheap bacon and sausage and menu is very poor not much choice anymore. Won't last long like this.
Service amazing. Food brilliant. Price is really good for the quality and quantity. Will definitely be coming back lived it. 99% of 1-3 Star reviews are from the old owners the new management is amazing defiantly deserves 5 star!!
Great atmosphere and great food. I walked along the promenade, which is a short distance away from the cafe. I was ready for a feast, hot coffee and a warm welcome. I was not disappointed! Coffee was topped up, breakfast was well cooked, hot and delicious.! Great value for the portion size! Staff very friendly and attentive, even though it was busy! Most importantly, it was spotless. It is now my go to place after a long walk. Will definitely be returning!!
Lovely cafe! New staff have been introduced since yesterday, they all are extremely friendly and always are available. Staff topped up my coffee and were extremely polite and dedicated to there job. The breakfasts were delicious and portion size was excellent! Definitely would recommend, and I will be visiting again.
The most stereotypical cafe you could imagine. Food is OK but the customer service is just bad. Not even an apology when they mess your breakfast up for the third time, at least not the male server. You know what you're going to get and you're going to get absolutely nothing more or nothing less. This place is absolutely no nonsense. The prices are good but the customer service seems to have been left behind in 1996. All in all, decent enough food but atmosphere doesn't exist and ran by people who don't seem to care. I waited 19 minutes for a bacon and sausage sandwich.
A really nice and friendly place to eat! The food is gorgeous especially the Sunday lunches, which is all home made. The staff are lovely and make you feel really welcome.
Amazing cafe, I definitely would recommend this, it was a spotless cafe, staff were extremely polite and kind and always smiling! Meals were fresh and delicious, service was fast and they served us quickly, my family and I are now regular customers and would recommend this cafe over any cafe, because it has everything! Definitely would recommend!
This cafe is surely the best around! I loved it, amazing place to chill with family and friends, staff were smiley. It seems there are new staff here now and they are extremely kind and polite, they easily catered for our family of 5 and were happy to exchange stuff on the breakfasts, I recommend this cafe and it is surely the best around!
When we walked in the 2 women behind the counter was so miserable & didn't give a great 1st impression. Quite obviously not there for anything else other than a wage. Most of the kids meals werent available, but that was no biggy. Me and my fella ordered large breakfasts which we were looking forward to. When the meals arrived I have to agree with the previous review, full of grease. The standard of the food would be ok if the staff werent so lazy when frying everything & let the fat drain. The bacon was cooked on a dirty griddle, may i suggest using a griddle stone to clean it back to silver . The sausages were fried which is OK but they weren't drained much. The eggs were the same, all it takes is a few seconds to let the oil drain. I instantly used a serviette to mop the grease off my plate. The blackpudding was fried too and tasted funny. Oh and guess what the mushrooms had been dropped in the fryer too, a quick blast on the griddle would have been adequate enough. They had 5 star food rating in 2013, they wouldn't get that in 2016. Couldn't wait to get out of there. My children were polite & pleasant saying thank you. On our way out one of the women were bringing the table & chairs in and told my 8 year old to move back. Kids have a habit of getting in the way so an 'excuse me' would have been appreciated. When we got back to the car my 8 year old had 3 words to say Rude, Rude, Rude!
I would give no stars if possible. I went in and ordered a standard breakfast without black pudding or mushrooms and got the mushrooms served with it. The only nice thing was the toast. The staff are very ignorant and didn’t even try to crack a smile. I got a sandwich for my Mum and ordered a cheese and pickle salad sandwich. It was serverd to go and obviously didn’t see it until I got home. It had no salad on, about a pinch of cheese and had the tiniest bit of pickle on it. It looked as if it was rescued from a seagulls mouth !!!DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
