Story

Crossley Mill is a not-for-profit charity nursery in the heart of Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. It was set up and is still run by local parents to provide home-from-home care for babies, toddlers and pre-school children in the Upper Valley of Calderdale.

The nursery is situated in a fantastic location in the centre of town with great canal views. It has a high star hygiene-rated kitchen serving freshly prepared vegetarian food and a creative and enchanting outdoor space that will fire your child’s imagination.

We have a highly trained team of staff who are extremely loyal and our good reputation is based on their caring, friendly and approachable natures.

We adhere to all national standards for child:staff ratios, in most cases with more staff per child than the legal requirement.

A really great nursery with excellent staff. Our son really enjoys it there and we've seen such a big step change in his progression since he's attended. The food cooked on site is fantastic and we regularly get updates on what he's been doing and his achievements. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Crossley Mill has been a superb nursery for both my children. The staff are lovely, warm and welcoming. The nursery has its own cook who creates fantastic, healthy and delicious vegetarian food. The activities are varied and interesting and as a not for profit nursery they are always looking at ways to improve the nursery experience for the children. The nursery iteself is beautiful, colourful and cosy with views overlooking the canal. I cannot praise this nursery and the staff enough.
