Had the pleasure of dining here a few days ago, Saturday I think however I can’t be sure. My legal battle with my soon to be ex wife has taken up a lot of my attention and while desperately trying to obtain custody of my children I had a lovely conversation with the young man behind the bar, I forget his name but I imagine that he is often known as “the one with the tattoos”. He brings with him a kind atmosphere and a wise word. The ale was tasty and the food was fantastic, if a little spicy for my taste. Thank you very much
A lovely Inn in the picturesque village of Heptonstall. The nearest place to eat to where we were staying. Amazing Thai food, great service, friendly staff and customers. A really lovely experience. So good we went back the next night Service: 5/5
A welcoming little pub in the ancient village of Heptonstall. Run by the inimitable Gig from The Golden Lion in nearly Todmorden, The Cross has a Thai menu and some decent cask. The pub is comfy with a lot of history ask the locals and an off-the-road courtyard beer garden Look put for local brewery Eagle's Crag - Pale Eagle, it's a top pint and great with the excellent Thai food on offer
Cycling the Pennine way and stayed the night here. Bex was amazing, really friendly and helpful. All the locals were super nice, what a great local pub and and accommodation. Also authentic Thai food absolutely amazing thanks AndyRooms: 5/5
It's rare to find Thai food with authentic favours. I had the soup, it was on another level. And the pub is a delight. A slice of Todmorden where it's needed most!

Great little pub. Good job it was open. The other pub and cafe weren't. Lovely host. Thanks for the beer samples. Could have stayed there all night really and could imagine getting drunk slowly there if I stayed in the village!
Went for a drink and some food on Friday and loved what the revamp has done for the place. Great decor and a good friendly crowd, social and authentic. The Thai Red Curry was phenomenal and this place is definitely a hidden gem and a must if you're nearby.Service: 5/5
We call in here every time we visit Heptonstall. Its always a warm welcome and the food and drink ate excellent . They now offer accommodation which we haven't yet tried but may do in the future. You don't need to walk up the big hill either as a bus travels through from hebden bridge to blackshaw head so no excuses for not visiting this wonderful hamlet
B.reakfast so disappointing..was a bit of a continental Car crash Everything puled up at the table near the room entrance And a plastic kettle to boil and help yourself Took my toast and amall jar of jam to my room...opened the jam to find it had been already been used Disgusting Sorry...had to say how it was... crash.
