We visited the restaurant one a Sunday afternoon, looking for a nice place for tea and cake. Spotted the menu outside, and it seemed good enough. It's definitely the good choice. The staff is absolutely lovely. They are attentive, friendly, and happy to assist when needed. The afternoon tea we ordered was really massive. Glad we opted for sharing it. It's a spot worth visiting when in Stirling. Thank you.

Nice location for shopping in Stirling town centre. It  has a small private carpark around the back of hotel. Good service and value the staff are friendly, food was excellent very good value. I would recommend and definitely stay here again on future visits to Stirling.  Food & drinks: Very good value

Beautiful hotel! The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Comfy beds and lovely pillows. Excellent choice for breakfast. Great staff ! Friendly and very helpful.Rooms: 5/5

Popped into the lounge bar for a few drinks and a few snacks. The hotel itself looks really nice and the bar was nice and clean and had a good atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and professional, and the drinks and food were very good. Nice central location for a pit stop while shopping. Highly recommended  Food & drinks: Both excellent

Food poor, obviously frozen and reheated, service lacking in warmth and professional standards.  Very disappointed as the the restaurant had a nice decor and atmosphere.  A real let down.... if the food was fresh and some serious attention given to improvement to the quality of service I would give it another go.

The old front is beautiful and right in the small town centre. Room was excellent and spacious with enough room to relax in. Read a book on the couch, watch TV in bed or sit at the table for a drink. Bar closed early because it was quiet, I wish I could have had a pint at night. But all the pubs near were open.Rooms: 5/5

I have read the reviews and thought I would give this a try. I wish I hadn’t bothered nearly broke my leg in the so-called car park. No lighting Got the key to the room wallpaper hanging off the wall. The only good thing was the toilet refurbished. I was at the top of the hotel old furniture went out for the day and came back and they had not even cleaned the room. Reception and restaurant were quite good but the rest two stars will not be going back. There are better places in stirling

He says, from the outside it looks like an oldye worlde pub, inside it's a hotel bar, very quiet, very hushed, like all hotel bars. Nice enough, but no character. Tables and chairs are really close together, so it's hard to maneuver.  She says, very beautifully decorated surroundings. But yes, felt very hotel bar rather than city centre bar, nice for 1 drink.

Hotel is nice, rooms a little small. Staff lovely but food is poor. Fish way too oily and not tasting fresh. Seasonal greens with two battered fish dishes was a salad… got offered free dessert, nice gesture. Not for us. If staying, cannot recommend restaurant but nice enough hotel. Also rather disappointed to discover no wifi in rooms, only public areas. Still had problems getting s descent signal.

Rooms are a little dated, bathrooms are nice. I booked two rooms and one room the lights in the bathroom mirror didn't work, the toilet was blocking and the sink was closed stuck so the water didn't drain away. Friendly staff here though and great location.Rooms: 3/5
