Creel Inn has been on our " to-do" list for quite sometime due to multiple recommendations, but place being quite remote it was only now we had a chance to visit - food-wise it certainly did not dissapoint, the only very minor quibble would be with Cullen skink having less fish content than I'd prefer - but still very tasty; the soufflé was delicious, crab claws and seafood platter also amazing - in general ingredients were labeled as local and indeed seemed as fresh as you can get. Would prefer waiters to be a bit more efficient, especially with only two-three other other tables being taken, but that could just be a sign of how hungry we were that day;
First time here, excellent seafood and good service. Not far from Dunnottar castle. Limited cars park for 5-6 cars in front of the restaurant. Must try if you visit Stonehaven. Thank you.

We went there for lunch and saw the great reviews on google. Lovely, friendly staff. Dog friendly too! The seafood was amazing - top marks to the chef!! My only criticism was the heat from the log burner was stifling and there was zero atmosphere - no background music at all - it was quite eerie
Quaint little bar restaurant with fresh fish and seafood. Restaurant sits on top of the cliffs above Catterline harbor with great sea views. Friendly locals and great staff. Excellent food.Food: 5/5

Wow!!! A little gem with fresh seafood. Service was excellent and the food was delicious! Kids menu were not like the usual chicken nuggets and hotdogs but this place served proper food. They had fish and chips and breaded chicken which was so good. The sea bass and the scallops that we ordered was cooked to perfection that melts in the mouth. The ambience of the place is cozy and comfortable. Highly recommend.
Had a great lunch with my wife at the Creel Inn today. The food was excellent, and really generous portion sizes. Nice relaxed atmosphere with beautiful views out to sea. They were also setup well for COVID with sanitisers, temperature checks and easy to be 2m apart with the layout. Highly recommend

An exquisite seafood restaurant with fresh produce directly from the bay. Price is reasonable and taste is great! Service is friendly in a quiet setting. Live fireplace makes the place even more cosy.
