The waiters here are very nice and the food is delicious, we are definitely coming back. There was no one there when we went which was sad as it is one of the nicest restaurants we have been to. More people should come here. It is the nicest place to have an evening meal in Newton Stewart. Has a better than average selection of vegetarian options, a great place to take the family!

Excellent food and service. Very good value too

Popped in for dinner when passing by. We had nice garlic mushrooms and soup for Starters then a very nice Double Beefburgers and Chips and a Veggie Fajita and Chips  Great value aswell for this day and age!

Myself and 7 other family members came here for dinner tonight as we are on holiday from Glasgow and staying locally. The food was absolutely delicious. We all went for a variety of starters, mains and deserts and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed each plateful. Portions were excellent. Special mention for the chips which are “out of this world” never ate a chip like it. Our waitress was extremely polite and nothing was too much trouble for her. Very pleasant and friendly. Walked in said hello to the guy and woman behind the bar, both dashed through the back totally ignoring us family of 4 in an empty bar not hard to miss eventually the guy came back we asked if a table for 4 was available. Looked at us like we had horns, I had just walked past the restaurant window and seen 2 tables in and no reserved signs. We ended up going round to the cree house hotel which was much more pleasant.

Great food and staff, pop in when your at Conifer lodges you won't regret it

We visited The Cree Inn after doing a lot of walking in the morning. We sat outside with our 4 leg companion and had a lovely meal. The food is delicious and the girl who was serving as well as bartender and chef were all very friendly and professional.  Definitely recommend.

Visited here yesterday with family and after seeing and reading other reviews we were left overall disappointed. Our waitress seemed really pleasant and helpful until we asked for parts of the meal that were missing along with some condiments. The service then turned to things being banged or dropped onto the table. Couldn't try the cocktails as they have a new person working behind the bar and they can't make cocktails yet. At the very end after deserts we were not asked if we would like anything else but just simply asked if we would like the bill. We decided as a group that we wouldn't rush back here. Oh , missed out that we did ask if we could get a bowl for the dog to get a drink and this never arrived.

Delicious food in a lovely establishment. It's great value for money and the staff are amazing! Highly recommend! Thanks guys x

Had a lovely meal to help   the husbands 60th birthday. The food was very delicious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were also allowed our wee dog with us. We sat in the bar area next the fire. Was nice and cozy. It was very reasonably priced also.
