What is Speciality Coffee?
Speciality Coffee has to be handled with care, roasted with precision and brewed with love and attention. The result is an unrivaled coffee experience.
Speciality Coffees are grown in ideal climates. They are distinctive because of their full-flavour tastes, with little or no defects. The wide variety of unique coffees are a combination of geographic characteristics and the composition of the soils in which they are grown.
Speciality Coffee is often called Gourmet or Premium coffee. The Speciality Coffee Association of America (SCAA), scores coffee along a 100-point scale; coffee that scores over 80 points is graded as Speciality.
As a member of the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE), Crediton Coffee Company is committed to coffee quality and excellence; using the best coffee merchants to ethically source green coffee beans from 15 producing countries worldwide.
