Had a great birthday party here, huge place with plenty of room for a party of 10, could have easily fitted 20. Wasnt sure when we pulled up as it is behind a derelict building but inside it was amazing. Kids really enjoyed the space, only downside is they could have easily had another hour there! Helpful staff.
When you approach it, it might feel a bit daunting but when you enter everyone is super welcoming and smell of toasted bread, coming front the little cafe, makes you feel home right away! The centre offers loads of bouldering, top roping, lead climbing and a couple of autobelays. There is also a quality training area weights, Moon Board, campus board, spray board, monkey bars, the lot!. Probably best thing here is the route set up. They are all close to what climbing outdoor would feel like and every single one of them is enjoyable and challenging. Great gem!
Our new go to climbing centre. Great high climbs in varying styles decent height and some designed to feel like actual cliff faces. Plenty of difficulty levels to choose from. Expanding bouldering sections for when you haven’t got a climbing partner or use the autobelays which also have a range of challenges! Courses to improve ability available. Staff on hand to check your ability before you climb! Skate park also attached haven’t used this! on the downside: Changing room is as basic as needed but often very cold. Too few lockers which are a little too small the largest ones are always full and I often have motorbike gear to store! and the toilets need an overhaul. Cycle / motorbike parking outside would be advantageous. Back on the positives: There’s a great range of climbing accessories available to buy and staff on hand to give advice, however from a retail point of view, the Cafe is cheap and the food is basic greasy spoon / burger options. It would be nice to have something more healthy to compliment the fitness / exercise opportunities at the centre. No vegan options. I’m not vegan but it’s a growing trend! Would recommend.
Amazing place, my second home with my 11 year old son, staff are exceptionally dedicated to help everyone. Friendly environment
A bit awkward to get to and not much parking around the area but it was great to see an older building be used for something rather than being pulled down. The guys there were knowledgeable and worked well with the children it was a birthday party so lots of 5 and 7 year old children. The children had fun and were taught how to climb safely. It was a bit cold there but that's probably due to just being a bystander.
Absolutely fantastic session today with John. He was so brilliant with us, especially our son, very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. An asset to you guys
Very friendly & helpful staff at this great climbing centre create a super atmosphere for every level of climber.
Instructors are friendly and polite, good interaction with children, excellent arena, outside of building is not pleasing to look at, cafe tables are always dirty despite my friendly suggestion that they needed wiping.
Great climbing centre towards the tail-end of Moseley, lots of bouldering and rope climbing walls with a good training area too.
Great staff, can't do enough for you, yes the building may be run down, but most climbing centres are, they are there to climb, not impress with architecture. There are lots of climbing ropes, auto-belays, good routes, high climbs and inverted climbs, shop and canteen. Well priced place, good classes and nice people go there. Great for kids too. I take my 5 and 9 year olds there often. Its great fun.
