Our first impressions weren't good. It should be noted that if you have an allergy you'll have to run the gauntlet of questions and management avoidance of risk. All before you've been shown to a table. That said, a waiter called Sheldon showed what service and empathy are all about. He resolved the situation with professionalism. We had a quick lunch and I have to say the food was good. Well cooked, presented and served. Will be back, but ready for the allergy quiz.
Absolutely fabulous first visit for my Birthday. Afternoon tea was delicious. Staff were fantastic. Could not have wished for a nicer venue and service.
Not the fastest restaurant but surprises us. Food it's great and the waiters not bad but sometimes they forgot that is a table there waiting, the service still be good.
We ordered mussels and croque monsieur. Service was quick and the staff were polite. Food was tasty, fair portions and reasonable prices.Food: 5/5
As always the food was very acceptable and well presented and the staff were great. Sadly there was an insufficient number of staff due to staff absences. This caused a delay in delivery of our meal. As our visit was for a pre-theatre meal, we had to rush our main course and we’re left with no time to have a dessert and/or coffee. This will not deter us from dining at Café Rouge again.

Last visited April 2023 Dropped by Sunday morning for a spot of breakfast. Not too busy, so service was good. Good Full English Breakfast.Food: 4/5
A really great place to eat. The venue is very tastefully decorated and gives a real French feel. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was excellent and very reasonable. We would definitely visit again and have already recommended Cafe Rough to family and friends.
Very quiet as it was Monday night. I had beef bourgignon which was nice but not a massive amount. My wife had sea bass which was also good. Very helpful waitress but she was hardly run off her feet!
Spent a very pleasant afternoon in lovely surroundings. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and attentive, a credit to the restaurant. We had afternoon tea which was delicious. Will definitely visit again.Dietary restrictions accommodatedNot sure
