Amazing variety of books, imaginative architectural features and very friendly librarians.nThere are also lots of different, free to join, groups going on throughout the week ranging from knit and natter to conversational English as well as the childrens grouis you would expect to find going on in a library.nnThe non fiction section is impressively well stocked with multiple books on every topic you could think of.nnI could go but you really must visit this library yourselfnnPS Robert Louis Stephenson has hidden treasure on one of the pillars.
Staff need good understanding and Training about how the online account and audio books and ebooks works . I asked a question few time they couldn’t help.nSome are not sure how to update a card . I had to do a few journeys back and forth to the library because the front desk assistant didn’t know she needs to update my pin the same time as my library card and keep insisting account pin stay the same .
Last month on a Wednesday I was on a day trip to Crawley with my 6 month old son and while I was in the town centre I got my phone stolen out of my pocket in a worry i thought ill go to the library for help to ring my partner and the man on the counter was very rude and unhelpful l, he let me use the phone but he said I could only have one call as I would hold up the line. I needed to two calls one to get my partner number and two to call him so obviously was upset I couldn't make second call, in a panic I was crying and had to go to the cafe in the library and the man who worked in the cafe was soo helpful and let me use his phone as long as I needed to. I was very grateful to him. Because of this I will not be going back to the library in a rush with my son. Very disappointing
Very friendly and helpful staff.Large modern library over 3 Floors.Lot's of facilities and resources.Good long opening hours.Excellent Cafe on Ground Floor and even Amazonlocker on same floor.One of the best libraries I've been to in the UK.
Staff are always friendly and helpful. I joined for free, and can borrow 20 books! Very good.
