It would be unfair to properly rate the experience based on my visit today, as it was wet and windy but I expect it would be a very nice place to visit on a good day. It was free to get in with a fairly small car park. The ground was largely grass and so trainers or boots are recommended. I think you would struggle with a pram. The actual attraction is some, presumably, man made mounds and stone circles, along with an 'ampitheatre'. A nice place for fresh air and to stretch the legs and I can imagine kids running around having a great time. There's some very nice views as well, just not really the weather for it when we went.

Amazing place. Feels totally different in the sunshine and when the bracing wind is whipping around. Wear stout footwear and allow a couple of hours. No refreshments but there is a good cafe in the petrol station in nearby Sanquhar.

This place is fantastic it will move most people with it's breathtaking views and Neolithic style architecture this is a place to savior and spend time to explore take a picnic you'll want to spend at least a couple off hour's here and it's free to visit so what's not to like so give it a try you won't be disappointed

A great wee place well worth a punt! Don't listen tae the folks bleatin on aboot the portaloo! It's a portaloo get a grip!! The actual place is braw it needs an hour or 2 tae take in. How ever make sure ye have on good boots if the weather has been naff the day before

Freaking awesome place. We are so lucky to live 10 minutes away from this magical alien landscape. Just go and visit.
