Not the holiday park, but the beach. An unexpected little jewel slightly flawed but still . Great bay for swimming and SUP. Zero surf so forget that. Gentle shelving sandy beach with some stony patches that faces mostly south. RNLI lifeguard cover, a Blue Flag, toilet, a Mr Whippy and a donut van. For some reason personal space was considered of little importance and we were crowded by subsequent arrivals. It's a plenty big beach so that was totally unnecessary. Probably be back.
Quiet, friendly caravan park. About 10 minutes drive from Kilkeel. Sites are close to beach. Solid pitches for touring caravans with water and electric hook up. Good washing facilities. Recommended for nice relaxing break. All you need is some sunshine!
Recently we visited cranfield bay for a sunday day out. The beach was lovely and the scenery was lovely. We then went onto cranfield bay holiday park and started looking at there range of new static caravans a fella called Ricky showed us round the caravans ranging from the least expensive to the most expensive depending on how it suited ur wallet. We found ourselves buying our first caravan.The site is lovely and clean well kept and has lots to do there was fair ground rides and a chip van which we had for our dinner and was lovely. First impressions mean everything and they were great and Ricky spent the time to secure his sale good work cranfield keep up the good work
Glad im not on this site anymore got my van damaged but love donegal site and the scenery much nicer with lots of beaches
Great beach, lovely view, amenities and parking close by. Nice cafe too when it can re-open due to covid.
As a caravan owner and a loyal customer of Cranfield Bay for the past 13 years I was gobsmacked to receive an email giving me two hours notice of the removal of my caravan from its site. Now I have no reason to lie but it all stems from this lets screw families over coming up to Christmas for £300 which I might add I knew nothing about until I got a phone call looking payment. Now with three kids and Christmas coming I wouldn’t have a lot of spare cash around so it was impossible for me to just hand it over. Now I made a call and was given until mid Jan to pay half of it...which is now being denied....I really wish I had the proof. I had enquired about different alternatives ie selling my van to which I was told it’s worth nothing, well excuse me my caravan is worth money because I decided to put it online for sale to see if there was any interest to find out there was, apparently I should not have done this because that was the reason it was taken off, anyway I rang to see what was going on to be told you need to ring head office to stop removal...guess what no one would take my call... If anyone is thinking about buying a caravan I would not recommend any of Milne sites, look what happened me after 13 years, my 3 kids grew up here and loved it now threw out without a second thought oh and to top it off I was sent my invoice for the coming year stating I hadn’t paid my £300 but if i could pay it and the balance before 1st March...really!!!

Just after buying a caravan here... excellent caravan park with plenty to do for my children. Great beach and playpark on site. Really loving our time here!
Would be 5* if people would clean up after them on the beach really no need for it
