DO NOT bother taking the Haul Truck Operator course. No employer outside of Teck will even be remotely interested in your certificate. And Teck is infamous for having a revolving door; they treat most staff like garbage and as such you'll likely be looking for work all over again anyway. The amount of money this college is charging for this course just does not warrant it.
Came here 13 years ago to start our Canadian trip. Although there were many problems and inconveniences, that memory will always remain in our hearts and guide our life in Canada. All is bliss, Cranbrook's blue memories. Here is the best springboard and stage to enter a high-quality university in BC. Low-cost to help everyone integrate into university life smoothly and quickly.
I go to collage here and it’s great! A very beautiful campus not to big or small
The following bad things I have noticed about this college. Instructor are not able to teach. They have lack of knowledge. I found that some instructors whose have different teaching experiences or education background are teaching different courses, that so wrong because one instructor can only teach the particular subject which he masters of. Sorry to say but Their main focus is the money of an international student. Boring Classes, some instructors are so boring that if feels like to sleep in the class because instructors are not exciting to teach the students. That so stupid to give assignments and projects in the final week exams. There is soo much mismanagement in the college and the authorities doesn’t care. I don’t understand the exam department that why the heck you guys can not take exams at least 2 to 3 weeks so that at least the students have time to prepare. First the instructors who gave all the assignments and projects in the final week then there is a exam schedule maker who congested in one week I have 5 exams in 4 days. It is so much stressing, depressing experience I ever faced in my life. I feel so bad for the international students that they are paying huge amount of money to this kind of college for the same education, instructors and facilities. I would never recommend this college to anyone. Please international students don’t waste your time and money in this college. Instead go to better colleges if you don’t want to take stress and depression.
I booked an appointment with an Ed Advisor and got an email back the next days. There were many people from the student service desk trying to help. I was impressed by their supporting! I can’t wait to start my courses at this college.
not good for international students some instructors fail students by two and half percent as they well know that international students can not afford courses fees again and again and if students talk about grades to the instructors then they said that you are not capable for good grades.
Tuition is affordable. Housing is affordable. The campus is located beside an amazing community forest with lakes. I have been really impressed with my experience here so far. The instructors know you by name and genuinely care for you to succeed. The class sizes are small and it makes for more engaging classes. I would recommend this college to anyone who requires a little more attention from the instructors. And the best part, how integrated the college is with the local Ktunaxa peoples since the college is situated on their land.
I will not give any stars but no choice, lower tution fees compared to any other metropolitan cities is the only advantage for internationals. In return they will bug you for your entire student life.please don't come to this college if you really want to enjoy your student period. Stress, mental harassment, racist teacher, lot of prerequisites to enroll in your favorite subject where you have enough qualifications, so to be honest I won't recommend this college to anyone, purely waste of time and money. And a kind request to management, I DONT NEED any response to this review because I had sent you many emails and contacted several times when I NEEDED but no use and I didn't got any fair and justice approach. I think " time is a sensitive factor " ,now I am not a student anymore. I believe that education is a service rather than a business.
I have been studying at College of the Rockies since a few semesters. All i can say is i am proud to be a student of this college. The staff is super friendly and the instructors really know their topics in depth. It is a great honor to have such instructors. They expect a level of effort to be put in the assignments. I have seen the changes in me. My parents have seen the change too. I get more more knowledge about the courses as each semester passes by. These past 2 years have been the best time of my life. I am lucky to call myself a College of the Rockies student.
I have nothing but good things to say! Faculty and instructors are quick to reply, and are always helpful! I am an online student as I live in Vancouver, and everyone has made the process simple and pain free! I have yet to have a negative experience here, and I will continue to further my education here.
