Stumbled across this little cafe whilst on a walk on the Cramond coast.Lovely place to sit and enjoy the peace.Watch the boats and dogs.Very nice menu, panini, bagels, and lovely scones and cakes.Nice staff.Loved it
Bijou little cafe with an aura of quality. Spotlessly clean - always a big plus with the Forth Valley Scone Rangers. It seems that at 10.30 am we were lucky to get an inside table without booking, so that speaks volumes for its popularity. The menu suggested that your bank balance needed to be in fine fettle for a visit here, but as usual we were only concerned with coffee and scones. The coffee, I must say, was very good as were the in-house scones. Crisp on the outside and really niçely baked. No plain scones are on offer which was a slight disappointment to me, and no cream to be had which is a major disappointment. When so many other establishments are happy to provide cream it’s hard to see why the Cramond Bistro can’t. An excuse was offered but it sounded pretty flimsy. I don’t really want to carp too much because the staff were pleasant and we enjoyed our visit. If you haven’t been to Cramond, get down there pronto. It’s a delightful spot. There’s a leafy riverside walk complete with kingfisher on the day, a tidal island to visit and a beach to walk and exercise your dog. Really picturesque. What are you waiting for?
Must have had a million coffees and cookies and scones and muffins from this cafe over the years. It's great. If you're a tourist in Edinburgh, grab a bus to Cramond, take a beautiful walk and buy something here.Food: 5/5
The loveliest, cosiest seaside cafe I've ever been to! I come to Cramond Beach quite often, and I love to pop by the cafe to get a nice sandwich before sitting by the ocean. Staff are incredibly sweet and the wait time is not long. Really adds to the gorgeous and quaint atmosphere of the rest of Cramond, and I will be back soon! Much love.
A great starting point to grab a take away Latte before either going along Almond river walk or heading to the island. Currently working as a take away, but has some seats outside. Friendly service.Service: 4/5
Incredible breakfast spot! Grabbed our coffee and scone for our walk. My husband highly recommended the sausage maple cream cheese bagel! I loved the cheese scone!Recommended dishesScone
With new management a few years back, service has hugely improved. Hadn't been back in 10 years due to previous experience. Staff are much friendlier and helpful. Booking in advance for indoor seating recommended. Kid-friendliness: Staff were very helpful and understanding towards our 2 and half year old.
A coffee here cost me £4.20 takeaway latte with oat milk. The first time they served me the coffee it was basically water and no coffee taste, it was so awful I had to take it back to the till and ask them to remake it, which they did and it was much nicer. But, £4.20 for a takeaway coffee should be the most amazing coffee in the world in my opinion and not only was the first one not up to standard… it actually felt a bit insulting to be served that with no quality control or obvious ability to see that the coffee looked just like muggy water….. the second coffee was completely different the fact they couldn’t see this the first time they made it is a lack of attention to what they are making. And a note to the cafe, if you are going to charge that obscene amount of money then you should have enough quality control to ensure you make it as “artisan” as you possibly can, otherwise you are insulting your customers. Charge less.
Our sanity was saved by the lovely Cramond bistro today when they squeezed us and two very unhappy tiny people in despite being fully booked. We left significantly calmer and fuller than we arrived! Great lunch menu. Thank you!
We wanted to sit in for a tea as the notice said it was open till 4.30. As it was 3.30 we were surprised and disappointed to be told it was takeaway only now. We all had icecreams but it was definitely an opportunity missed by the man serving. We will not be rushing back.
