While visiting from Canada, we were fortunate enough to enjoy a splendid lunch with friends at the Craigie Inn. Not only were the entrees and desserts outstanding, but the service was excellent. The facilities were immaculate and we will definitely be adding The Craigie Inn to our annual 'must do' while visiting Scotland list!
Food was fabulous complaints to the chef. Service was great a lovely friendly place. Will defo be back.
Lovely place with amazing food!
I went to the Craigie Inn last Friday afternoon as only found out it was open again. Very nicely decorated clean and welcoming with lovely fire burning away adding to the cosiness. The owner was very pleasant and gave us a warm welcome. My brother had steak pie and said it was the best he had tasted. The other dishes we ordered were equally good. The apple crumble and custard was was excellent. If you are looking for good food, warm welcome and lovely comfortable surroundings give the Craigie Inn a try. I don't think you will be disappointed. We will definitely go back.
Delicious home cooked meals in a lovely restaurant in the heart of Craigie! Only 5 min off the a77. Haven't been disappointed yet, and don't expect to be. The food is the best I've had around Ayrshire! Warm atmosphere and amazing staff. Our two small kids clear their plates too and are made to feel so welcome!
Booked to celebrate our anniversary - had a fantastic meal, some great choices for starters/mains/desserts at a great price the feather blade beef with peppercorn sauce was anazing and good portion sizes too. Well attended to by Fiona & staff - an excellent meal in a lovely atmosphere, well worth a visit.
Lovely friendly staff and food is absolutely wonderful. Well presented in a nice homely setting. The beef was cooked to perfection with a tasty red wine sauce. Definitely worth a visit.
Stopped by the Craigie Inn about a month ago and lets just say i had a lovely yet harrowing experience. My party was greeted by an older woman who instantly did not seem to be interested in us nor pretend to be, a rather reserved older couple followed us in and they were given a lovely welcome which straight away i noticed was completely different in comparison to the welcome we received. Food was exceptional which brings this review back up to three stars. As we were leaving i noticed how chatty the same woman was being with everyone bar my party, all customers seemed lovely and reserved where as my party i will admit could be mistaken for a biker gang on the wrong day as it was a hot day and we were displaying our tats and had our bikes out front - who knows maybe that was the reason said woman was standoffish with us...
The food here was really good , the staff were lovely and place had a nice atmosphere. Definitely worth going even although it is out of the way, I will be going back
A hidden gem! We eat here regularly; with good reason. The menus are all excellent and the food is made with the highest quality ingredients. The restaraunt itself is comfortable and welcoming. The new owners really must be commended on this. Great, quiet rural setting too away from the buzz of Ayr and Kilmarnock; but close enough to both to be accessible. Prices are very competitive; particularly on the lunch menu.
