Crafty Monkey is a pottery painting and crafts studio based in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire.

We put on different workshops throughout the year for children or adults or if you have a group of people we can put on a bespoke workshop for you. We are also mobile and can come to your mums and tots group, school, office, village hall for workshops and parties.

I visited Crafty Monkey, with a friend and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The member of staff explained the process clearly. She was friendly and very accomodating, especially when my friend needed some more paper towels! We spent nearly two hours painting our figurines. The choice of paints that were available meant that we could really paint the figurines in the colour schemes that we wanted. Pick up was also very easy, with an e-mail that allowed me to book a time slot on a day that suited me. Whilst we were there, there was a variety of different groups from friends having a catch up to a group of children to what look liked a hen party, which shows that Crafty Monkey is suited for any age group. My one piece of advice would be to make sure you book a slot in advance, as the location has only a number of tables available and I can imagine it gets quite popular during the school holidays! I would definitely go back and do some more pottery painting in the future,  I will also be recommending Crafty Monkey to my friends.

I love crafty monkey! The staff are always so helpful and friendly. I think the prices are fair considering the work they put in to make sure they come out looking so professional! Would highly recommend

We visit today, wonderful place, lovely staff and loads of items to chose from to paint, kids where guided through that to do it and they were given loads of time to paint so they did not have to rush. Have a great day! Will be visiting again soon

I took my partner here for a date. Booking a time slot online was easy. We had to change the booking to 30 minutes later on the day and the staff were very helpful. When we arrived a lady explained how everything worked, the prices and the time. There was a good variety of colours, brushes and plenty of choice of pottery. They even let us borrow some aprons to keep ourselves clean. Unfortunately we went past the time limit but the lady was nice enough to give us 30 minutes extra to finish. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Lovely place to go pottery painting, very reasonable too

Built bears X 3 and painted 2 plates. £12 each bear and you decorate a t shirt for your bear, name it and certify it . You put a little token inside before it is sealed up. Kids enjoyed this activity very much. Plate was £18 plus £4 sitting fee. This is the steepest I have ever paid for painting pottery blanks and we would definitely go more frequently if a bit cheaper. We have painted in many different pottery places inc dog bowls , ornaments, cups, plaques, tea pot, pizza plate, vases etc etc. A wonderful activity which you get to keep a sentiment. Looking forward returning another time

My favourite activity to do in St Neots! Always have a wonderful time, and all the staff are friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in the creations. It’s great for birthdays, parties, dates, catch-ups, any occasion. Highly recommend the adult nights on Thursday too, and it’s also great for taking kids during the day.

Unfortunately the very nice young lady who dealt with me on the day told me the incorrect price, write the incorrect price on the handwritten paper invoice and then charged me the incorrect price. I was then sent an email with a typed invoice attached which said my outstanding bill was £10. When I sent an email to explain I had already paid in full I was told they had made a mistake and that I need to pay £10  I was not provided with a reason in the previous email when asking for more money. I then explained the situation to the manger in an email. Her response was then very rude, full of assumptions and stating I should have told the girl at the till it was wrong. I explained that it is their responsibility to give the correct information to customers and that I didn’t know it was wrong . I then told the manager that if they make mistakes they have to take that as a business and learn from it. From her emails this appears to have happened in the past. I explained to her if I had left with my items on the day she wouldn’t be able to contact me and ask for more money . She then went on to abuse her position of power by refusing to give me my items I had made if I didn’t  give her £10. I have never had to write such poor feedback for any business but the manger clearly doesn’t know how to run a business or treat customers. It’s shame that a nice day has now been tainted and I will not be returning or recommending this business going forwards.  In response to crafty monkeys response on my review . They have not shared the first email they sent me which stated I needed to pay more money without an explanation to why. The first email they have shared  is actually their second email after I questioned why I was being given a new invoice. Beth if your going to copy emails you have written then at-least share everything you have sent instead of tailoring it in an attempt to make yourself look better. You have also missed out the last email where you was not going to give me my items. I am also still waiting for an email you said you was going to send me 4 weeks ago.

I love crafty monkey. Have been again this week to make hand print Christmas gifts for my family and cant wait to see the finished items. In my opinion the items are well priced for items with the personal touch. The ladies who work here are brilliant, always so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Can't wait to come back again.

It's a lovely idea but VERY VERY overpriced which is a real shame as I'd do it weekly/monthly as an activity with the kids if it wasn't so ridiculously expensive. You pay a crazy amount for the item you wish to decorate then on top of that a studio fee!! And then if you want their help with decorating so it's neat etc you then have to pay even more for that! At the price per item I would suggest that all help was included or that they seriously reduce their prices!
