At the main entrance free cash machine, across the reception there are couple of vending machines for hot drinks and sweets, there is a Aroma coffee bar as well. Hospital nicely clean and tidy. Separate disabled entrance. This hospital has 3 floors accessed by lifts and stairs. Mandatory Facemask due to COVID reasons. Toilet facilities on all floors. Helpful and friendly nursing staffs. Ample amount of parking spaces including disabled and parents parking. This hospital also has a nice wee garden for their patients.
Always have had a good experience, the breast care unit nurses are fantastic, especially Lucy C in the day unit. Amazingly caring and thoughtful and very efficient. Can’t be more grateful for all the care Lucy and others provide me with on my frequent visits, thank you!
I regularly attend this hospital for routine diabetic eye screening, and other appointments and scans. Staff are friendly and attentative. The hospital is spotlessly clean and all efforts are made to keep you safe from infections with regards Covid or other bugs. I have only good things to say about the hospital and its staff. Waiting times have been, in general, very good.
Minor Injuries. Attended here with a knee wound from a mountain bike accident. I was seen by a nurse Lindsay, xrayed and stitched up in under a few hours. Given excellent care and kept informed. Well done everyone and thank you. I had to return a few days later after this cut turned out to be infected, I was checked then referred to ward 33 Victoria in Kirkcaldy where they carried on the amazing care and help. Thank you.
PARKING. Visited the Hospital for a routine consultation. ALL car parks had vehicles queuing for entry and ALL spaces occupied. We arrived 30 mins early and should have had plenty of time to park and arrived at the relevant department. After spending 45 minutes we had to cancel the Appointment and Reschedule as we drove round and round getting stuck in unending queuing traffic. This hospital desperately needs its parking facilities upgraded and brought into the 21st Century.
Such a shame that they changed this hospital from a major A&E Department to a minor injury unit only. This hospital is not even that old & it is such a waste of a huge building & with the amount of people who live in & around Dunfermline to have to go to Kirkcaldy Victoria Hospital from Dunfermline & surrounding areas when we had a perfectly good hospital on our doorstep seems like such a waste but thats cutbacks for you?
Worst hospital ive ever visited. My Mother was treated abysmally by one nurse in particular and received a gashed leg within , when a supposedly nurse had left a steel gate open in which later i heard was left open by accident . My Mother had this gate crashed into her leg when this person rushed back to close gate we heard from a staff nurse and crashed the beds gate against my Mothers leg , this leaving my Mum in pain for the rest of her time within this hospital and elsewhere with a gashed leg until the day she died. I was told by a staff nurse i can put in a complaint, but i said no as i know complaints normally fall by the wayside when against local Fife authority no matter who as they are bent to the core why I never . i know they would put it down to an accident , this when not another of their even seen the incident . I seen this one nurse also on a different visit whom i and brother and wife suspect strongly it may well was her , she then who hauled a continence pad from my elderly Mother a 93 yr old woman My Mum did not feel comfy with such on her, and did not really need as used toilet on her own . The look on this nurse face was hatred for anyone around her and she certainly is in the wrong job Some nurses are fine with their jobs and odd ones not and this was worst we seen a tall slim , with long straight hair, but facial uggh what a horrible person not fit for that job at all and is meant to be working with the public if she smiled her face would have cracked . Another local woman worker within a Liz O" Donnel , when i called asked her on phone this time has my Mum had breakfast, her answer was porridge she has such most of time as likes it , then secs later Oops no she hasnt its on the floor lol this said with a giggle straight after saying such As if it was funny . This is not the way to treat family members calling to ask about their very ill Parent . Terrible care within this building from some individuals whom should not be within this sort of work and I could add more But won't waste my time except v As for top marks people put up for reviews on here then they are either from family members of people working in here , or get their kids to put such up for them . it's the way sadly they do things to make out all is Rosey within when not. Terrible care via some individuals within .
Very nice hospital with plenty of parking space. Reception staff are very helpful and there is also a very nice cafe which also does food and drink to take away. The hospital is located just a 5 minute walk from the train station
There should be a revolving door fitted for the volume of psychiatrists that have came to work in The Queen Margaret Hospital in the past five years and left. The psychiatrists who do stay gaslight and ignore their patients. An investigation into their practices would reveal an awful lot...
The Margret Hospital is the Queen Margret Hospital. It is not a separate hospital or department.
