I've had CPL Racing do some extensive work to my car as the previous owner was happy with them and I was impressed by what I saw, my own experiences have been the same - excellent quality of work done within the quoted price and timeframe, and their flexibility to accommodate short-notice changes, additions and problems from me is appreciated.

I especially like the fact that when discussing a jobsheet they'll tell you what you need to know, not what you might want to hear! A refreshingly honest approach instead of letting a customer spend money on expensive and unnecessary parts.

Receptive to questions and with great after-sales backup I can't recommended them highly enough.

I visited CPL after my tuner of choice reported a problem with my K-Pro v4 I had just purchased from them when upgrading from a K100

They were very inviting and appeared very helpful when they plugged the Kpro in to my old ECU and told me the "bad news" that my Map from my old K100 ECU had been overwritten and charged me around £50 for the privilege. At this stage, they did not hesitate to tell me they could tune my car for £400.

I asked twice whether there could have been a mistake and whether the map could have been read from the Kpro it's self. I was assured both times that my map had definitely been erased.

As a result I took my car to receive a new custom map on the new ECU at considerable cost. 

I later enquired with Hondata directly how my map could have been erased and they told me that it had not, the K-Pro v4 could not read directly from the ECU and that the map CPL were seeing was stored on the K-Pro as I had previously suggested to them.

Considering CPL's mistake cost me hundreds of pounds unnecessarily, I thought it appropriate to explain what Hondata had told me and to ask them to refund the £50 they charged me for incorrect advice. Multiple attempts at contact and they have just ignored me. Never mind the refund, I've not even had so much as an apology!

I understand everyone makes mistakes and I think everyone should have a chance to put them right, but after their display of incompetence, CPL decided to ignore me instead so I felt compelled to share my experience.
