Wonderful place to eat! The food was incredible and service was excellent. We ate at a lunch time, so it was quieter than I assume it would be in the evening, but the atmosphere was lovely. We sat near a lovely big fireplace. I do wish it opened slightly earlier in the evening as we'd be able to use it for an evening meal more easily than we are currently, but that's down to our personal situation.
Lovely spacious restaurant set in nice surroundings. Went as part of a group of six. Good food, although some of the food could have been warmer. Friendly service staff.
Absolutely mouth watering food and so reasonably priced. We went to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and the relaxed atmosphere, beautiful views and stunning food set us up for a beautiful experience. Plan to return soon!

Booked a late table on Saturday 6 August. It was a busy night but we were seated promptly in the quieter area near the bar. Loving the new layout and decoration! Two of us ordered the black pudding, my fiance ordered the soup and her friend ordered the fish cake. The black pudding was immense - the photos I'd seen online didn't do it justice. I don't care for soup, but my fiance said it was really tasty. For mains, I had the fillet steak and everyone else had chicken. The steak was a good size and cooked perfectly medium rare. I really enjoyed the chips too and the peppercorn sauce was amazing - even though I preferred the sauce that came with the chicken. We didn't bother with dessert on account of being full, but the manager made us Espresso Martinis which again were amazing. All in all, a great night out. Definitely recommend.
We arrived at the Cowshed and were greeted with a warm welcome from Will. It's our first time at the new venue. It certainly didn't disappoint. We were seated and the atmosphere and decor is stunning along with the open fire. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, all 3 courses were absolutely delicious. Couldn't fault a thing. Can't wait to come back and will be recommending to family and friends. Parking: Lots of parking available
Our first meal @ The Cowshed’s new location Friday evening & the food was fantastic, the entire menu had a wide choice & it was difficult to pick, as so many dishes sounded so good! I had the shoulder of beef for main & the meat was so tender, with beautiful buttery mash, well roasted veg & amazing sauces… compliments to the chef as all the dishes we had starters, main, dessert, really were beautiful. A nice touch was bringing a complimentary espresso cup of a lovely warming soup just before our starters arrived. The decor was also really cool with a nice contemporary style & we were seated by the large open fire, lovely candle light throughout & really nice choice of chilled music. After 2 courses I couldn’t manage dessert but my Wife & Daughter did & again both were extremely nice, the Black Forest ice cream with the chocolate brownie was awesome! Would definitely recommend if you fancy some proper fancy great quality food & a lovely place for a special occasion, the staff were all most helpful & we will definitely be back! An easy 5 review & I am a little “picky” when it comes to food, thanks guys for a lovely evening.
Had a lovely lunch out today to celebrate our son's birthday. Staff were lovely and food was scrumptious. Price was very reasonable. Well done and thank you so much. Would recommend to anyone. Will be back again.
The Cowshed was recommended to us and did not disappoint. Excellent restaurant. The place & atmosphere were great, staff friendly & efficient without being invasive and the food was awesome. We visited on Valentines night so there was a set price 4 course menu but it was excellent. Strongly recommend the Cowshed to everyone.Food: 5/5
The ambience, service and food were all fantastic. Amazing value for money. The soup to start was incredible, the duck very tasty and flavours really well balanced in the crumble. I couldn’t believe the price at the end, they are definitely under selling themselves. I will certainly come back again!
