Love Cowes and its Esplanade. Great walk in the summer. Just a pity the Isle of Wight council don't spend some money to tidy it up and make it a better walk.
I love this island, it's amazing , worth seeing but too big , could not see in one day , will have visit some other day to see the rest of the places. I would suggest to go over the weekend because the fair of red fennel is less than weekdays and secondly one can stay over night to visit Needles and go for sailing, depends on the weather.
A lot of shops seem too be on winter hours, not mutch open. Sat buy the harbour and watched the boats nice and relaxed
These things are for the yuppies.Its a pity they have left Cowes a highly tax rated town with the decent locals finding it hard to survive due to the second homes being empty & no money being in circulation from them.
It's a beautiful walk along Cowes Esplanade , stop for refreshment in the kiosk about half way along , if your feeling energetic you can go as far as Gunard ..
Was lovely too hear the cannons fired, but sadly the Queen passed
Love to sit and watch the ferries coming in and out.
Lovely place, a little run down and the pavements need sweeping. The front is very picturesque
See lots of boats in the harbour and the ferries. Very historic place
Scenic and beautiful and cold!
