There is always a stunning walk to be had here. In summer months you can watch players from all over the world compete and if you can get tickets to the gold cup it's well worth it. Everyone from royalty and film stars to locals and tourists mix to watch a highlight of the polo calendar. In quieter months the younger local teams have matches. You can walk around the area and peruse the cowdray shops..they include a teashop, farm shop, excellent local wine etc.
Gold cup is always a fantastic day out - if you have never been to a polo game, you can always trust Cowdray for a fantastic day out
Watched superb quarter finals today Wish there was some actual signage telling us where the matches were....FB and website said L1 and L2 but we had to make a last minute dash to Ambersham. Give yourselves an extra 30minutes to find your game!
The Polo itself was excellent. I didn't personally visit the stands in the central area, so can't comment on them this year. Last year, I did and the offerings were a little pricy, but good quality. This year, I felt that there were not enough toilets in the area around the marquees, on the side of the pitch opposite to the castle. Getting out of the grounds after the match was a challenge. 40 minutes from parking position to the road - very frustrating... Great match though, hence four stars!
It wasn't the Polo club but next door at the meeting rooms. Very tranquil, clean and almost new like. All facilities for all types of indoor events are available i guess. Very good for my first time.
Lovely setting and not operating as a corporate sell-out meaning it's retained its charm. Costs are very reasonable, even the annual membership!
Dropped of some friends but struggled to exit the car park as the exit and entrance was combined, poor car park arrangement.
We love coming here as the experience is always a good.
There is a variety of products but it's very pricey.
