I wouldn’t recommend Coventry College, especially the Level 3 Hairdressing course.nnI started in September 2025 and was there for less than two months. From the beginning, one of the teachers took an instant dislike to me, and I felt singled out. The environment felt very unsupportive, and I experienced what I believe was bullying behaviour within the course.nnI also witnessed and experienced behaviour that I felt was discriminatory, including racism and a lack of support or understanding around LGBT+ students. This made the learning environment extremely uncomfortable.nnI was ultimately expelled after standing up for myself. During my time there, I also sustained an injury involving a staff member, which added to my distress.nnI have hidden disabilities, including dyslexia and APD, and I did not feel these were taken seriously or supported. I was often made to feel like I just had to “get on with it” rather than being offered the help I needed.nnBased on my personal experience, I would advise others to think carefully before enrolling on the Hairdressing course or any other course at this college
My daughter is doing Travel and Tourism in Coventry College, recently she was accused of not being professional with her behaviour. I was called to a meeting with Jenny manager of Travel and Tourism to find out some nonsense of what my daughter is accused making her feel like a villain. She got proves of everything that she was accused wasn't only her doing but another girl as well. Well here is getting interesting, Jenny doesn't even wants to hear about the evidence about another girl, is like she is protecting another girl. This is bullying and I will not advertise the parents to sent the child to this course how long Jenny is the manager over it.
The college is pretty good. I do Level 3 Business here, and they’re quite accommodating and have amazing teachers. One thing that really needs changing, however, is their ID rule. If you forget your ID, you have to go all the way home to get it and come back, or you have to pay £5 to get into college. It’s not motivating and feels unappreciative toward students who genuinely want to learn and care about their education. Meanwhile, students who don’t really want to attend get an easy excuse not to go in.nI understand that the rule is important, but some students have memory difficulties or struggle with remembering things and managing their time. The rule just doesn’t make sense — if they want to teach you accountability, they could have seminars or other consequences instead of completely revoking a day of your education. It’s an uncommon problem, but incredibly inconvenient and inconsiderate.
I have never experienced such poor service from a college before. For the past 5 days I have been trying to contact Coventry College admissions for information about a course. Believe it or not, nobody ever answers the phone. Each time I’ve tried calling reception, I just get a different excuse and still no actual help. I even left messages, but nobody has bothered to get back to me.nnHonestly, it makes me wonder if anyone is actually working there. This level of unprofessionalism is shocking for an educational institution. Very lazy staff and zero effort to support potential students. A truly disappointing experience – I would never recommend dealing with Coventry College.
Absolutely awful. Attended a few years ago. They labelled me as dangerous because I was being bullied and has severe anxiety. A handful of the lectures were amazing however they all left due to the incompetence of the college as a whole. I failed my maths exams due to them ignoring my exam conditions which was on my file. I had a lecturer tell me she was going to shoot me with a gun and made fun of my dog who passed away.
