Court Meadow School

What can I say about this school a supposed SEN school, my autistic son went there and as I said I went there. Firstly the teaching staff, Sue, an amazing, dedicated professional hard working teacher who I have the upmost respect and gratitude for. The SLT are at best a disgrace and perhaps shouldn't be allowed near children let alone SEN ones. I attended a meeting there and was greeted by a member of the SLT, who has either never heard of the saying " You were given two ears and one mouth so you could hear twice what you say." or chose to ignore it. This guy loved the sound of his voice and his ears were clearly in a non listening capacity on that day. Led to a conference room where there was a power point playing in the background over and over again, the wall illuminated by how bad my son was and his violence, his destruction. I starred in disbelief, our SLT friend broke the silence, something I soon discovered he was very good at. " Makes bad reading doesn't it? Who are you by the way?" I replied " That child's father." Awkward!! The meeting went down hill from there, I remember him talking about something he called the Bristol measurement for measuring poo. Rather apt because the term B.S was coming into my mind. Six weeks before the Summer holidays and without any notice the school decided that they weren't the best place for him and they will not have him back after the end of term. Wow bombshell we now have to find a SEN school in six weeks. Thanks for this oh and to rub salt into the wounds a letter arrived from the school to my home address. A school report saying how well he has done.
