In the middle of Birmingham city and a stones throw away from the Tram stops / train station. So no issues if you haven't got a car. There are car parks nearby if you need to drive it and have plenty of shopping to do. Lift available for those less able bodied. Nice medium size store that caters for hiking, climbing, camping and if you like to wear the latest outdoor gear but the most you see of a mountain is in a brochure or television. Huge selection of clothing upstairs from all the main players in the outdoor world kit. Prices are reasonable and suit all budgets / styles and if you are a rambler member you get a discount of 15% which is a bonus. Look out for the sale rails where you can pick up bargains / reduced end of line stock. Decent size store allows for social distancing but it can get busy on weekends so this maybe an issue.
Large and fully stocked, this store contains nearly all you could need for the outdoors, if you don't mind the price tag. Interestingly decorated and staffed by knowledgeable and helpful people, this store is worth going to.
Great service - helpful assistants who know what’s best, and respect budgets too. The advice I received from these assistants not only made my choices better but also saved me a tonne too. The store also has a great selection of stock and is well laid out.
Really helpful, knowledgeable staff. Great selection of high quality outdoor clothing and associated products. Have bought several waterproof jackets here and a sturdy roller bag, too. Dog friendly too - I often take my small dog with us when we go to shop here!
The staff are always really helpful. Booked a kit list appointment and they were able to help us get everything we needed but even when we've gone in without an appointment the staff have always been great! You can tell they actually know what they're talking about and use the kit themselves!
I had a brilliant experience at Cotswold Outdoor. I went in for a new pair of walking boots and was helped out in picking the best boots for my needs. Jamie was particularly helpful, polite and very knowledgeable about the options available to me. Great experience, will be shopping here again.
Aleksandar provided exceptional service today, helped my partner with walking boots and was both friendly and extremely knowledgable about the products on offer. Provided a detailed measuring service and Although the correct size wasn’t in stock, checked with another store and ordered ready for collection. It’s our first time in the shop and we’ll be going back, other stores should take note.
For the first time in years I am blister free! I took the plunge and booked a boot fitting as I have bunions which always cause me to have blisters under my big toe knuckle on both feet regardless of how much I pad them or which type of footwear I am walking/running in. After a substantial consultation and measurement 3 pairs were suggested which I tried and tested whilst also having a useful lesson on lacing on the indoor mini ramp. The middle pair, which were in the budget I'd stated, were a great fit, and were further refined with some insoles to prevent my feet from rolling inward, which it appeared was the cause of the blisters. After wearing them for a few hours around the house over a couple of days I ventured out on a 10 mile hill walk on uneven terrain and didn't get any blisters on either foot - huzzah!! Thanks to manager Rob and his excellent knowledge for solving the problem I've suffered with for many years and for educating me on several subjects.
Not good unless you want to watch staff leaning on the displays talking about the weekend, went in yesterday around half one , I was the only customer. Left and went to Flannels instead , great service and bought a new jacket so not all bad
Lost and found . I lost a fleece and a waterproof while going to the UK. They really helped me find a suitable alternative. And they even price matched the discount which was listed on their online website but not in the store . All the 3 members of the staff were helpful especially the senior lady . I dont recollect their names. But this is a good centre to find what you want in outdoor gear . Will recommend and visit again .
