Great store, signal mobile signal in-store is quite poor and I'm not aware of client WiFi availability. The canteen now works much better than it used to due to the order kiosks.
Very busy place cheep ? Cheerful yes just lines of people everywhere
The only way to describe the experience is that customers are seen as the most significant inconvenience here. No one is happy to be there, customers but especially staff. Everything is frequently queued or crammed up parking, aisles, checkouts, collection points and staff go out of their way to slow things down, keeping minimal staff-facing roles open, maintaining the highest levels of inefficiencies at any processing point, and putting meaningless receipt checks on leaving. The benefits of reduced cost for buying in bulk are effectively gone now too with supermarkets or online offering similar.
Miserable, miserable, miserable place. Just don't go. The store is completely overwhelmed by customers as it is the only branch in the whole of the west of Scotland. It takes 10-15 minutes just to get into the car park from the main road, and everything else is a ridiculous queue. You queue for ages for the fuel station, you drive around and around the car park looking for a space, desperate to spot someone leaving. You queue for eternities at the tills to check out. You even have to queue to get out the bloody car park. Just don't go. DON'T GO!
Some stuff is cheaper and good value for money. I feel the majority is not cheaper than regular supermarkets, they draw you in with cheap lunches and cheap cooked chickens but I am not sure there is a bargain here. For example I was going to buy Sony headphones for £59.99, looked on amazon and they are £30.
Great produce and very busy as it always is,but checkout was fast and we queued longer at cafe as cannot leave without a Hotdog and cola
There’s a man called Alan so cheery happy ! Smiley… when checking your trolley when you leave … the other boys need to take a leaf out of his book… keep it up Alan you make me smile when I leave
Pretty good, as any other Costco I've visited so far, this one in Glasgow is massive thou! Make sure you'll get your hotdog at the food court and you fuel up your car
I enjoy visiting the Glasgow Cosco. This was the first bad experience I've had here caused only by one unprofessional staff member. My dad accidentally picked up my brother's card and we were refused entry at the door by a man called "Ryan". This individual needs training on how to treat paying customers with respect as their unprofessional behaviour really shocked us to the point we were afraid and couldn't even explain ourselves. We know you can't use another person's card, but it was a genuine mistake. Costco managers, please train your staff to be polite and friendly, avoid making a scene, refrain from judging customers, not frighten or threaten customers, and not treat them as criminals. Maybe he was having an off day or maybe he should consider a career change as only traumatised people traumatise others.
I generally love it but: 1They have sofa on offer - it's the beginning of the offer and they don't have and likely won't have any in stock. What's the point?! 2 food court - how about introducing display system to let people know which orders are ready instead of ladies yelling all day like in middle ages? 3they should stop selling this ridiculous milk which expires next day regardless what the date says and laminate which is the worst in assembly than cheapest in b&q. They should focus on keeping only best quality products. About queues and parking they're planning to build another Costco in Glasgow so I won't blame them for it.
