Unfortunately, my experience this morning has not been positive. Mainly, this centred around a less than acceptable welcome from a lady named Steph. Rather than greeting me with a 'hello' or 'how are you', I received a very unfriendly 'sitting in?'. I answered yes, which was followed by a rather too direct 'what do you want?'. I understand there must be a need for speed in the job but a simple greeting with a more polite follow up would take no more effort and be far more welcoming. I ordered my coffee and sandwich and paid. The money was received with no 'thank you' and nothing else was said except a snapped 'aren't you going to have that sandwich heated up?'. The store was reasonably, but not exceptionally busy and I feel it would have taken little to zero more effort to make me feel like I wasn't an inconvenience for placing my order. I have to say the coffee was quite nice, as was the sandwich but the experience was definitely let down by my first exchange.

This costa coffee sits in the middle of a retail park so it's not the most attractive of locations. That said it's convenient for a break is you're shopping and the service is relatively good. There's also a drive through if you're in a hurry. The I've think I don't like personally about Costa's is their chai latte. Of the three big high street chains it definitely has the poorest recipe so make sure you stick to the coffee.

Standards have fallen over the past few months. It's often untidy with food and rubbish left on the floor. Tables not cleaned properly which is a shame as it's very convenient for me.

Update (29/10/2017) Possibly one of the most disorganised Costas I've been in. Plenty of staff in, but long waits for drinks (enough that did was getting cold before they came). Also, pretty poor at 2pm to have hardly any sandwiches on display. Worth avoiding. Original review: 7pm on a Wednesday evening in April and the tables and floor haven't been cleaned/swept. Service was lacklustre too. Quality of food and drink at the usual good level from Costa, but otherwise rather disappointing.

Unfriendly staff,no greeting whatsoever... some of the staff are rude, if it was not for the location i would never go there again.
