Clean and tidy store, but cakes looked quite unfresh and not a single smile or thank you from any of the staff. Shame really considering this is the last Costa left in town.
Hardly ever has sandwiches etc now when used to be fully stocked. Toilet on a code which is embarrassing to ask for. Some staff lovely but some a little curt. Tables always need clearing but this is mainly as they don’t have enough staff. Needs better managing and a little more customer service.
Before Costa was given a reprieve, it was excellent, with the female manager, who is off sick, not around it seems to have gone downhill massively, the fairly new staff in particular Harvey, Sasha, and Katie are friendly and hardworking making great coffee, and today a young lady named Lucy was on her own doing a good job for someone, who is new to the store, there was no refrigerated food, and only basic drinks I feel we are going to lose this store if something isn't sorted soon, you need someone to take control there. Another issue the store just closes without a moment's notice, obviously down to staffing issues.
The staff working the shift on 17/05/2024 at 15.00 - 15:45 are the most friendly, kind and helpful people I’ve ever met, especially arpeciatdd after a very long journey.nThankyou.
Great location, the coffee shop is well set out and it always has customers using it.nCosta has great coffee, a good selection of food options. The tables are usually cleared well and in good time, by well trained, friendly staff.nThe only reason this Costa and the majority of them only gets four stars is because of the lack of toilet facilities, that are normally always unclean and smelly. It let's the place down and also spoils it for when you get a table closer to the toilet facilities, which would never be by choice, only necessity!
