Nothing like a bit of local culture in the ‘Port’. Coronation Park is becoming more touristy, and has a bit of something for everyone. Play area for the kids, nice place for a walk and actually clean and tidy with benches and parking. Free to use slip for the boating fraternity. Time it right and the Waverley may go sailing by. Recent sculpture of the Shipbuilders of the Clyde and the Comet Replica nearby not to mention the resident swan family, completes this interesting area.
Sometimes it takes a wee look at the views we have to appreciate the port! The Corrie park is kept in great condition really nice when it's not busy I actually seen two dolphins a guy spotted them with binoculars then half the port were down. I've uploaded photosamatureish as couldn't zoom in like big fergus binoculars
Worth the visit.. impressive.. Only been during the day so don't know what it's like at night.. nice wee photo opportunity with the bike...
Nice quiet area of Port Glasgow with good seating and views and a good play area for the kids not big but pleasant with good parking. Now has a monumental sculpture commemorating the areas shipbuilding heritage.
Lovely place to relax with the kids. Beautiful views over the river Clyde. Plenty of trees to shade from the sun, open grass area with two big statue's from the early shipyard day's. Two big swing parks for the kids.
Easy to get to straight along the M8 out of Glasgow heading past the airport towards Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. The grounds are just grass with a play area but they're fine for a quick stop off and rest although I didn't see any refreshments or toilets in the vicinity. One thing to note this side of the Clyde Estuary is very industrial so don't expect much in the way of a traditional seaside town you'll need to go a bit further on for that into deepest Ayrshire.
Nice place for a walk, river and hills view, playground for kids.
Lovely place to go ‍ very nice statues
Kids loved the park, big kids section small kids with sand section and a disabled section, loads of seats outside the park area facing to the sea.
I pass buy it quite often but I went into the car park and sat in the car thinking about some of the changes it's had over the past 45 years that I can remember a nice relaxing half hour
