Cornwall Contemporary opened on 1st September 2006. It is a large, spacious art gallery set out over three floors in a listed building at the top of historic Chapel Street in Penzance.

Exhibitions at Cornwall Contemporary change monthly and present the very best of art in Cornwall and from out of the county. Established and highly respected artists exhibit alongside some of the most exciting up–and–coming art school graduates and artists from around Britain and as far afield as Norway. Regular exhibiting artists include Neil Pinkett, Daphne McClure, Emma Dunbar, Ken Spooner, Ele Pack, Antonio Lopez Reche, Alasdair Lindsay, Maggie Matthews, David Mankin, Kristin Vestgard, Melanie Goemans, Emma McClure, Fiona Millais, Philip Lyons, Paul Lewin and Janet Lynch amongst others.
