They look as though they've had a refurb very nice inside and friendly staff, they are not currently serving food but gave the impression they will be in the future.
Had a lovely meal out for our anniversary, my husband had curry half and half and I had vegetarian lasagne which came with a lovely salad, peas and 3 slices of garlic bread, nicest lasagne I've ever had, bursting with flavour. The chips were very tasty too. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, very quiet as it was on a Tuesday, plenty of room. Would definitely visit again.
An amazing bar and lounge, with a superb outdoor beer garden, with amazing sea views over burry port harbour and beyond, also your allowed to take food in from the chip shop next door, so long as your spending money buying drinks in the pub, a must place for everyone to try
If your in a hurry don't expect to get away quickly. We ordered just a main course at 19.25. The food arrived at our table at 20.48. We had to wait for every other dinner guest to have their starter before any main courses were served. I requested a medium steak with the mixed grill. It was served over cooked on one side and not cooked on the other.
This is no longer the Cornish arms in name and looks. Totally refurbished to a high standard, new mezzanine deck over looking the harbour is a great addition. Staff friendly plenty of choice with drinks, not able to comment on food as I've not tried any, but it is described as graze boxes with tapas style menu.
We were just looking with our dog to see if they do food. They said not that afternoon but we could bring some fish n chips from across the road and eat n drink on their terrace. A very well refurbished bar with good beer and really friendly owners.
This place has recently undergone a refurbishment after being closed for quite some time. It was obviously done on a tight budget and is just bland and characterless with no atmosphere. It has a bog standard range of drinks which is unacceptable these days when you consider the vast range of great drinks that they could be serving. Been there once since it reopened and won't be going back! Very disappointing!
Really nice food and drinks at this pub. Great staff. Would definitely eat there again.
My wife and I went for dinner 02/07/17 my wife had surf and turf I had the Cornish mixed grill. We can honestly say it was the best food we have both ever had in a pub period. Massive portions not just that though, quality food the steaks were cooked to perfection medium and the gammon, etc just delicious. We liked the fact the chef bought our meals out. Really nice ambiance and the waitress was also really friendly and welcoming. I absolutely recommend this place if you like good food then this is definitely a must stop at venue. Enjoy.
Great cocktails over looking the Sea in Burry Port
