An interesting museum covering the history of Cirencester. The main focus point covers the Roman history, with a fascinating section covering the Anglo Saxon period. The last section covers medieval up to the more recent era.
Great museum we'll set out and interacts with younger children. I've been twice now.
Very nice small museum giving local history from Roman thru to Medieval times. Was able to just show up - but they did have sensible Covid measures in place.
Such an interesting place for learning about the Roman's and more. Well laid out bright clean and airy. Would allow 2_3 hours for a good visit. Doing really well during pandemic looking forward to the other galleries open again. Thank you
Lovely museum, lots of interesting artefacts. I thought it was all Roman history, but Saxon, 13th century and Tudor is also covered.
Excellent place to learn of the early history of the area. Exhibits and information were informative, interesting and easy to digest. Bright, well lit museum with plenty of interactive displays. Highlight was being able to stand on an authentic floor mosaic.
An excellent repository of Roman remains found in the town. The prettiest bits are the mosaics in the front entrance, but if you're into Roman history, the pottery and tombstones found deeper in the museum are good to visit. They have some kids things to do here, but I wouldn't bring a child that was particularly antsy.
