used this station so many times throughout my time in corby. most staff here are really nice and approachable. one of them older lady, not sure if she still works there talked to me like an idiot when i needed my ticket printed off and the ticket machine wasn’t in service : it’s not my fault i like a printed ticket as a souvenir sometimes! generally a nice station though, seating both inside and outside the platform. never bought any of the drinks or food from here but they seem rather expensive. great stairs that take you through the car park, a quicker walk from the local tesco and college. it’s a big shame corby station isn’t on the midland mainline route between kettering and leicester. it seems like they’ve closed the usual platform gates so people need to enter via scanning their ticket at the gates inside. probably a good idea to stop train hoppers, but a shame for train watchers like me who just enjoy observing!
Corby station offers a single platform station. For our use it's most to London St Pancras a couple of times an hour. Parking is expensive before 10am at about £10 for the day. But there are other opportunities to park that are close by to get around this financial barrier. For us it's fairly convenient, but Kettering a little further offers more in terms of going north or south.
I saw class 810 010-006-008 at Corby station and class 222 and class 360 the class 360 used to run out of London Liverpool street now they got to London St Pancras International

Sunday 8th Feb. Asked the lady behind the counter for a plaster. No big deal, right? Be kind. She was miserable as sin and she looked like she should have retired a long time ago. I never got the plaster.
