First and foremost, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Especially big thank you to Carl on reception, who was lovely and went above and beyond. And gave us a double and single room for more space. Really spacious rooms, great facilities and the added bonus of a lovely pool and leisure centre, with towels provided for swimming too! Close the Waterfront, plenty of parking. Can't wait to come back again!
5 stars to the bar and restaurant staff who made our stay so perfect. They were able to attend to our daughters special needs without hesitation. With our daughter having special needs it would have been helpful to know in advance of the swimming pool opening times due to festive season. There was no information regarding the pool in terms of closure. This was an important part of our stay for our daughter. Everything else was superb
Warm friendly staff happy to go above & beyond. Clean, comfortable spacious room, great to have control over heating, thermostatically controlled radiator, and ventilation, tilt top opening window - fresh air! So almost silent compared to air con style systems in hermetically sealed rooms. There was also a stand-alone fan system available but didn't need to use that it. Good quality thick black out curtains so no intrusive light from outside at night, nice view over the canal. Good sized pool for a UK hotel, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room & plenty of gym facilities. Extensive range of food available for breakfast. I'd recommend & stay with the chain again.
I’ve been staying here with work on a near monthly basis for around a year now. The rooms are okay, a little dated but serve their purpose well. The food has had it’s ups and downs and the introduction of new menus, set and otherwise, has definitely improved it. However one thing that hasn’t faltered in this time is the service from one of the waitresses in the restaurant, Shelly. She has been a delight to deal with throughout all of our stays, great table-side banter, always smiling and happy to see us. Absolute GOAT at The Copthorne.
Very nice hotel. We stay there as our car broke and such a nice men in reception upgrade our room for free to cheer us up. Good choice for breakfast. Have swimming pool and gym also. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We had one called club double room and then suit one and they were great. Good price for such a stay too. Once of the nicest hotels which we stay ever I can say with great nice staff.
This is the third time we've stayed and we'll definitely be back! A slight glitch at check-in double room instead of a twin was quickly resolved by very helpful staff members Thank you . We chose to eat in the restaurant this time, which we hadn't before and that was a really good decision. Plenty of choices in a particularly clean and tidy setting and really delightful staff. Lauren could not have been more helpful and looked after us impeccably well. We spent a little while chatting to the restaurant manager and she was remarkably cheery and proud of her staff. All in all a really nice stay and we are looking forward to our next visit already.
Loverly hotel great welcome. Particularly good service from Vikki at breakfast, very helpful and friendly. Lots of attention from Jamie at the party the night before. My wife has a dairy intolerance, he carefully ensured she was taken care of. Two great members of the team. Well done.Rooms: 5/5
The rooms were very spacious and clean. There were no bath towels, the lock on the bathroom door is broken, the key card to enter the club lounge doesn’t work, the club lounge is always empty no food or drinks. The shower barely works, and absolutely no disabled facilities.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed on Saturday night in room 210. If you are looking for a hotel in which you won't be able to sleep then I'd suggest here. Screaming and shouting outside the building till gone 3am... Had around 3 hours sleep max. Such a shame. Also spent around an hour trying to get hold of reception via the phone in the room as the TV remote didn't work. Finally got through but an hour worth of trying is a bit poor. Food was also really disappointing. So much so I had breakfast booked to which I didn't even contemplate going too. Left the hotel and went to McDonald's for breakfast.
I was in Dudley for the day, and wanted to grab a bite to eat. I didn’t have to wait and got seated by Libby soon as I came through the door. I ordered the cheese burger which I do recommend and I was served by Libby who gave me great customer service and helped me choose what to eat since I’m very indecisive and was very kind and didn’t judge me for being picky. She brought me my food which took only 10 minutes and has a massive smile on here face whilst she presented me my food. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. I then ordered a chocolate fudge cake and I was served by Ava and what a way to finish the meal with. It was scrumptious and Ava’s customer service was immaculate. Highly suggest to visit the Copthorne hotel if you’re in Dudley.
