I went to the open day this evening for my daughter who is in year 6. I have 2 boys who attend secondary school, so I have been to alot of open days. However, I have never left an open day feeling so Inspired and wanting to return back to school myself..what a brilliant evening!! We throughly enjoyed every moment from the tour to the entertainment of singers, dancers and pianist to inspirational talks from year 13 students and the best of all head teacher speeches I've heard from Evelyn Forde the head teacher. What a powerful inspiring women she is and this is reflected on to her inspiring talented kids in her school! I really hope my daughter will be lucky and accepted in this school for year 7 as we don't live the closest. My mind is definitely made up and she is also convinced and looking forward to starting here...she has left wanting to work even harder in her last year of primary school in the hope that she can join copthall. Thankyou staff and kids for a lovely evening.
I really loved the learning and a very good school to make friendships. It’s really easy to make friends in Copthall School, but the issue is that some of the students won’t stop talking while in class, and there are lots of other teachers who always have to go to our lesson, since other people cannot behave properly or respect the teachers or adults around the school.
They only care about how the school looks. So annoying honestly. I was severely sick for a whole week and when I came back they were mad I never attended and that my attendance went down? It honestly doesn't make sense. Also don’t get me started on the teaching, art is so useless and the teacher always gets worked up whenever I try to tie up my hair while she’s taking??? It’s always made to look ‘good’ but it’s quite the opposite, and half of these ‘good’ reviews are all from the teachers ‍, so I suggest you would listen to a former student 1 year ago rather then a teacher who has a biased opinion.
My daughter loves this school for the following reasons:n-she enjoys itn-she makes friends easilyn-she enjoys learning she wasn’t too keen in primary schoolnnI recommend this school highly and it definitely deserves 5 stars. The form teachers are very good. A firm school with glands of fun.
A friendly, happy school with GCSE results in the top four percent in the country for progress! An amazing range of extra-curricular opportunities including attending events at Mill Hill Independent school, theatre trips, use of Saracens Rugby facilities, dancing with the English National Ballet, talks from high profile speakers, and lots more! Coaching for all teaching staff, thoughtful CPL for non-teaching staff, clear career progression and opportunities at all levels. An amazing school.
