One of the most amazing Mediterranean restaurant experiences. As a vegetarian I had plenty of dishes, specially the truffle pasta with the 30 month old parmesan or the lasagna were a couple of the favourites. Some variety of sharers , my colleagues had a mix of dishes as per the pics and no complaints really. Exceptional service, staff was perfect and very smiley which I always give extra points to. Very well located restaurant and gets full marks for decor and cuisine taste. One to try for sure if you like to expand your taste buds...I'll be back for sure!
This place is fantastic. The Mediterranean cuisine in the heart of London and at the top notch at the same time. Would I go there again…. Yes definitely I’d do. Though it was a bit pricey but what else you’d expect for this fantastic quality dishes. Last but not least the service was just spot on… you felt like as if you were in the central attention of whatever they do. So would definitely be back very soon. Keep up the good work CAVO. See you soon again.
Newly opened restaurant in central London. Close to Tottenham Court Road station. The restaurant is pretty upmarket with lovely settings and great ambience to come for some special celebration. We didn’t know the concept was tapas based where dishes will come out whenever it is cooked. I was confused when I ordered a mixed seafood came with salad and chips immediately. I would thought it will come with my octopus and lobster dish which appear as big plate dish. The octopus was the highlight of the night. Really enjoyed the tenderness of the meat and the condiments that came with it. Price is on the high end. Hope they will improve their service for future visitors.
Cavo it’s not just a restaurant, it’s an experience. Impeccable service, incredible views and unique yet authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Ideal for a date night, a lovely catch up dinner with a friend/family or after work drinks with colleagues. Cavo offers the full experience and I would 100% come back.
A perfect place to meet friends and family. It combines modern and minimal architecture. The food is fresh and tasty and I appreciated the attitude of the manager Yvor. Who was always around to help and make sure we had everything we needed. A really great place to celebrate special occasions or just to have dinner. On top of all that they have an amazing view of London, it feels like you are surrounded by history
We were grateful to have had the opportunity to visit and take advantage of a 50% discount on food during the soft launch, but the experience really missed the mark and would have been even more disappointing had we needed to pay full price. So hope this can be taken as constructive feedback rather than a complaint. Our first waitress was lovely, but noticeably inexperienced as were all the waiting staff that brought food to our table - with exception to who I think was the maîtresse who quickly took over after we flagged there was dried food stuck on the 'clean' cutlery we were given the second time. The food was mostly bland, and the best thing we ate the whole evening was the mash. The choux pasty for the bignet moules was stale as was the bread under our seafood stew. Had the seafood stew had more flavour it may have covered the staleness. The calamari flavour was ok, but the batter was so thick. We weren't asked how we wanted the rib eye cooked, and while it was out mistake for not flagging with the waiter who took our order, this was because we had to repeat our order several times because he kept taking it wrong. We also had assumed it would have come medium rare, instead it came medium to well done. We didn't flag this with the team at the time as we were aware we should have asked for medium rare - everyone tried one bite and left the rest of the dish. The scallops were ok, but the champagne was not cooked off properly. Lamb was bland. Salads, lasagane and iberico pluma were an ok standard, but nothing special. Black cod was also ok, little bit bland again, but not terrible. There were 6 items not available on the menu, the first few items we tried to order, we were told the supplier had let the restaurant down, when we asked if there were substitutes the answer was a firm no and that the restaurant was only open for a couple of weeks so they don't have enough stock yet. I think its acceptable all new restaurants have to work through teething issues, but there is a lot to address if you want to charge the prices on the menu. The meal was very rushed and we were asked several times to clear our plates so they could bring the next dish which would already be held and waiting at our table. There needs to be a better solution than telling everyone to hurry up and eat their food, we were all very hungry so certainly not dawdling, but as the tables are quite small and plates very large the concept doesn't work with food coming out as soon as its ready. The good - restaurant itself is lovely, from entrance to being seated the furnishings and lighting are well thought out all the dishes were plated nicely and photograph really well under the lighting. We also love the location. Staff were all friendly, warm and polite, but the waiters/waitresses need better training. There were so many chefs visible in the open kitchen, maybe a case of too many chefs because I was really surprised how so much of the food was bland and average, with the seafood stew and rib eye being outright bad. Would be interesting to see if there is any improvement on the above down the line, as we sent some colleagues here during opening week and their feedback has been similar to our experience. Maybe both our reservations just got unlucky given so many 5* reviews. We don't drink so for the meal with discount it was just over £230 for 4 people, but would have preferred to pay full price and have a tasty meal.
Great place! Excellent tasting menu. Oysters, lobster, scallop and Iberican pig were great. The tagliolini was fantastic. You can't easily see this place from the street so you have to know where the entrance is and get the lift up!Food: 5/5
Great food and space. Service can be further improved. Lack of customer orientation and consistency in answering our questions. The concept should be explained to guests upon ordering. Great asset, manageress Katerina. Responded to all our requests, customer oriented, her smile overshadowed any minuses. Pink jacket manageress attended to an issue but not well handled and never came back even once to get any feedback, sad. Would give another chance due to Katerina. Hope it will improve as food quality is good. Might come back. Well done Katerina! 3 stars only due to mishandling and feedback. You can do better!
Came here for a few drinks. Nice spot in Tottenham Court Road area and nice interiors in the restaurant with a spacious outdoor terrace. Drinks were very good. Will come back to try the food.
I went for birthday drinks and had an amazing time. The atmosphere and the staff are so welcoming and lovely. The food is amazing just like the views and would be very happy to come back again. There is roof terrace you would have great time having drinks in the warmer weather. Vegetarian options: Lovely selection of vegetarian and vegan selections
