Great ambience.. wish service and food matched. Uninterested hostess+server+bar tender.. with just 3 guests took 45 mins for a fish 'n chips.. which had soggy chips. Kept serving water to the chef but never asked the guest or check to see if all was ok. Had to reach out to the bar to remind that the order was not being served and put the order in the system!
"A NICE PINT OF GUINNESS" In an authenticly decorated little bar, and in spitting distance from the port where the cruise ships dock.
They insist that beef steak is "medium", and did not even inform the cook. Argument is not an solution, serve the customer please. And please check in internet how a medium steak looks !!
Amazing food, everything was so delicious and very nice and helpful waiters.
Very decent wee pub with a good WiFi connection and football. All three staff that have served me have been very friendly, with some nice small derail touches. They also put the game on TV I requested. Food is good, made to order and well presented. Not the generic frozen pub food one finds in too many Irish pubs around the world. And good portions. The chicken wings are good, but the menu could state that one can order them extra spicy; instead of being advised after they were served. And obviously, Celery & Blue Cheese Dip would be the appropriate accompaniment. Music is also good, although there is a tendency for an entire album to be played. So, if you don't like that artist; you will have quite a wait for something different. All in all, a very pleasant experience and I will definitely make it a regular stop. Just steer clear of the Cider Vinegar & Sea Salt crisps. They taste more like Cheese & Onion.
Very friendly place, with English speaking barstaff. Best pint of Guinness outside Dublin! Good cheap food and serve late. Very close to port area and good transport links to Piraeus and Athens.
Excellent front of house staff and very polite. However i ordered a club sandwich with grilled chicken which i was not enjoying and decided to take a look inside, turns out the chicken was old and smelled bad, it was boiled not grilled as it says on the menu and the meat was clearly ''bottom of the barrel'' with black stringy bits. My boyfriend ordered the irish breakfast but it had greek sausages he said it was ok but it's worth half the price. Bottom line the food was low quality and overprized club was 8,5 and irish breakfast was 12,5. Clearly, like we were, most of the customers appeared to be passing tourists which suggests that the owner and/or the person in the kitchen don't care so much because most tourists don't return. It's a shame because the interior of the pub is very nice and the waiters/bartenders very good and polite.
The main reasons to go to a pub are. Socializing, drinking beer, watching football. Well, you can't really watch football if the tv is BEHIND A STAIRASE with 280p resolution, can you? Move the tv, or get another one and place it somewhere else! Having foreign customers doesn't mean that you should 1. Don't care for Greek ones. 2. Don't care in general. Otherwise the place is fine .
I was here long time ago, but still remember good experience what i get Very nice place for get some good beer and food. Lovely service, for price what you pay.
Fantastic food and a not bad pint of Guinness. Must try the pub food and the Queen of Greece's wine. The music , not irish, but my god a playlist to die for if you like funk, blues etc. A Great Irish Host Jim !!!!
