They do their best with having such a large and growing patient base. Dropped a point as receptionists need to remember they are not medically trained and need to remember respect works both ways. Not had a problem myself, but see and hear reception when visiting.
On this occasion I didn't have to deal with the continually rude and obnoxious reception staff who should have all been fired a long time ago before now along with the so called practice manager!! This time I was fortunate enough to deal direct with a nurse who was polite, caring, efficient and a benchmark that the whole medical group could well learn valuable lessons from. As a life long sleafordian I have seen this medical centres overall efficency fall to woefully low standards which are an embarrassing state of affairs to say the very least.
The care you get from SMG if you're lucky to get an appointment is actually pretty good. The issue is I can log on to Ask My GP at 8am and they've already closed the service for the day, making it incredibly difficult when you need the service. I have also found it impossible to order medication for my son online as I've been told a number of different things about how to register him. I've now given up and resorted to calling the dispensory every month
It's near impossible to see a GP Face to Face. The nurse practitioner is very miserable, doesn't let you speak and cuts you off. Paramedic is useless, refuses to prescribe and asks you to.come.back if still not well after " self caring", knowing full well what a battle it was to get an appointment. I'd move surgeries but nobody local is taking on patients from other surgeries. The state of the GP surgery is poor.
Can’t fault Sleaford medical group! All friendly staff. Had mine and baby’s postnatal check last week and the care I got from the doctor was amazing, I believe it was Dr Alex. Felt so understood, and looked after and nothing was too much trouble for him. Thank you so much
A good doctor's surgery, but there was absolutely no need for them to attempt to put the Clover House pharmacy located NEXT DOOR out of business by building ANOTHER pharmacy 20 metres from it in their own car park. Greedy :
Receptionists friendly and nurses and care assistants friendly.Can be difficult to access Ask my GP after 10:00. Parking can also be very difficult . However 1 hour free parking in Hub car park at rear of surgery. Access via Eastgate.
I have to admit it's poor for the most part. Reception cancelling your appt on ask my gp because it doesn't fit in with the time they get in. Doctors refusing to give you medication or support that you need been driven by cost instead of patients. Problem is all gp practice works the same and this is the new normal. I would say go somewhere else but they probably operate the same way. Unless you can afford an extra 300 a month to go private this is as good as it gets now.
If I could give a 0 I would reception staff unhelpful think they are doctors turned away my 5 month old with weasy breathing said he needed a COVID test spoke to 111 they have booked him an appointment today to see a doctor
I have always had the best care for myself and my family from Sleaford Medical Group.
