This was a lovely cemetary staff are lovely .I spoke to a manger a while back when we found out they maybe removing SOME of the trees but not them all and he wouldnt be working on that part for another 3yrs and by then they may have found another bit of land to use an an extention of Coltswood and he would get back to me if they where removing the ones where my gorgeous 3 grandkids are resting didn't hear a thing so we thought it was oknTo my son/daughter in laws horror they went up to see the kids at Xmas as they where going to change the small fencing they have around the 2 small trees have purchased the new wood and the paint to find all the trees have been taken out without any notice and not expecting this to happen for another 3yrs or maybe not ,they are broken hearted as I guess other families are to .nI would like to know why we where not contacted as due to their work schedule they haven't been up as often and to go up and see this done and get told to contact cemetary to get the personal we items them and the kids left over the years and the 2 we marble book stones I put up for them .nCould you please tell us where we are supposed to put the 2 marble books , flowers which was their small headstones I put down awaiting to get the big one to be made ?There is no room at the grave as there is only 12 inches and the front of the stone and all the kids graves in that row where given 12 inches at the back of the headstone also or have they taken that bit from us to ??nI have tried to phone but no answer don't know if they are closed over the holidays .nWould like to know are they putting anymore trees up or can we put own own as we didn't know about the memory trees at the water bit and it was full time we found out to be honest it's not near the kids so I think there should be a bit up at the top where families can also purchase a tree for loved ones but would be nice to know the plans for our kids resting place and will be mines also as i own the plot .nIf known this was going to happen I may have lookednat other cemeteries .
I've walked by this cemetery, quite a few times, on the way to visit a good friend, who is now dead, and lived in Glenboig. As for the cemetery itself, it is very well kept, and litter free. Here are photos of the cemetery.
Staff in Coltswood are very polite and always acknowledge me when they are busy working my husband and son are buried there and the place is immaculately kept thanks for your dedication
Visited it once , the staff are friendly and helpful. A very well kept cemetery.
My papa was the first person in there and its open 19 year
