It’s lucky to even get a start. My fathers funeral was booked for 50 people, it was a little over, which I offered to pay, but she had 1 small plate of sausage rolls for 50 people. People were sat at the bar waiting to get served but only 1 member of staff was on so no one got drinks. Wouldn’t recommend this for a busy function.
Where do I start! From the booking to the function, a caring and friendly team with Cara communicating promptly and helping us to individualise our christening event. Sausage rolls were amazing, so much so guests were taking them home. Well planned delivery of cake nibbles meant that children had a sandwich or dare I say it sausage roll in their paw before the cakes made an appearance Now I know why it is done this way; because if the sausage rolls are to die for, the cakes are heavenly. Five . We had 34 kids and 41 adults and it all ran smoothly.
Very poor. Unfriendly - and this from management. After funeral arranged 40 for Colliston, people came from far and wide, people didn’t get a lot to eat, some not wanting to take more than 1 sandwich because not enough for 40 - NEVER MIND 20. Managements apology didn’t seem very sincere, very uninterested just interested in money and not willing to listen to complains from the funeral party. Food was fine just so disappointed in the quantity I’m so disappointed for our guests and more disappointed they made the last thing I could do for my dad spoilt. 1 member of staff in the building so the tea wasn’t manned which meant our guests got 1 cup of tea, nor was the bar manned so they lost custom. Would AVOID.
I visited here for a reception lunch following a friends funeral. Staff were welcoming and attentive whilst being sensitive to people's feelings. The buffet food was excellent.
Stopped for meal on way back from Scotland to Teesside at the Lindisfarne Inn. Meal was the worst I have ever had. How can you ruin fish and chips, fish cooked in warm oil, batter soggy,fish not fresh and tasted stale, chips cooked same overdone and soggy as batter, absolute sh**e. Dont eat here .
Very warm welcome me, we were there for a funeral & the food & service was excellent. The sausage rolls were something else again!
Very nice lunch and waitress was helpful and friendly. From the roadside wasn't sure if it was open or not, almost drove past but glad we stopped.
Love this place. Very friendly staff. Good menu and fantastic cake range. Cater for ceiliacs.
Great food all home made for high tea on Sunday. Great home made cakes in the coffee shop during the week.
Good food, friendly staff, always a pleasure to dine here and the high teas are delicious!
