Great pool, needs updating but the app and website were good to use. The staff couldn't have been more helpful once I got there and the lane swim was brilliant. We will be back for a family swim before the end of the holiday! Parking is easy in the late evening but I have no doubt during peak times it's very tricky. 50p for a locker pool side then a £1 for lockers near the gym upstairs these are refundable lockers.
I had the absolute pleasure of attending Portrush Music Society's production of My Fair Lady. and I am completely blown away. From start to finish, this show was a masterclass in musical theatre, with every detail polished to perfection.nnThe standout performances of the evening came from Lindsay Johnson as Eliza Doolittle and Adrianas Professor Higgins. Lindsay's portrayal of Eliza was nothing short of mesmerising – her transformation from a feisty flower girl to a poised lady was both heartfelt and inspiring. Her voice was incredible, effortlessly soaring through the challenging score with grace and power. Every note she sang was filled with emotion, drawing the audience into her journey.nnAdrian Hughs’s Professor Higgins was equally captivating. He brought a commanding presence to the role, balancing Higgins’ arrogance with moments of vulnerability that made the character truly human. His chemistry with Lindsay was electric, and their scenes together were a highlight of the evening.nnThe supporting cast and ensemble were equally impressive, bringing energy and charm to every scene. The attention to detail in thencostumes and set design was remarkable, perfectly capturing the elegance of Edwardian London. From the bustling streets to the grandeur of Higgins’ study, every backdrop transported the audience into the world of My Fair Lady.nnA special mention must go to the production team and crew, whose hard work behind the scenes made this show feel seamless and professional. The lighting, sound, and choreography were all executed flawlessly, adding to the magic of the performance.nnPortrush Music Society has truly outdone itself with this production. The professionalism and talent on display rivalled anything you’d expect from a West End stage. If you haven’t seen it yet, don’t miss the chance to experience this spectacular show – it’s an unforgettable evening of theatre!
The gym here at the Leisure centre is fantastic, a membership will grant you access to any gym in the borough which is great. There’s a great selection of equipment to use and the gym itself and the equipment is kept in really good condition. You’ll have to book in via the app if you want to pop in to the gym which I really like as it ensures that the place won’t be packed full of people and you’ll have space to do your workout.
They did a good job with the recent refurbishments, the gym is now a great facility.nNew equipment; Free-weight room on the ground floor, with more free-weights and machines upstairs. Modern cardio machines upstairs too. The leisure centre has gone from being one of the worst local gyms, to one of the best
Honestly, if I didn’t want to disappoint the kids I would have left right after I walked into the changing rooms. Booked for swimming 10th July 2023, the changing rooms were absolutely filthy. Walked into a cubicle which had wet rubbish all over the floor, mountains of hair and was black with dirt. Tried the other 2 and these were just as bad. Looked out to the main changing area which was the same. I made my child stand on the seats so she wouldn’t touch the floor… swimming was good and staff were lovely. Came back to the changing room and there was a poor member of staff trying to scrape the mountains of hair, rubbish and dirt with a rubber brush…it was doing nothing and you could see this on her face. The whole place needed sprayed down and regularly! Needless to say we would never ever be back, we are honestly waiting for some sort of sickness or verrucas kicking in!
