Note if you're going to eat at the student restaurant on 1st floor - the catering students are required to show up even when they have contagious illnesses and the hygiene practices were extremely questionable or so I heard from someone on the professional cooking courses.nnThe course itself was an absolute mess, especially 2nd year level 3 ict where one of the tutors taught solely using revision materials for the entire year and opted to not teach us how to do the exam until the month before which the course lead when informed of this just asked said tutor how she thought we were all progressing when he had also been made aware she hadn't seen any work from us all yet. It was so bad the regular conversations among my classmates involved joking about dropping out and how stressed we all were by the sheer disorganisation, which continued even after we brought it all to the attention of our course lead. From my knowledge all the staff involved in this are still actively employed by the college and teaching. Also I understand being the first year on a course will throw up a few unexpected issues however telling students to use Ai to do their assignments and outright doing such a bad job preparing us for the exam module that you feel the need to take over another tutor's classroom time goes beyond the odd issue.nSkills was just a waste of 2 hours a week, would've been nice if we weren't just doing a gcse equvelant qualification given that everyone in the room had a level 2 pass in said gcse already.nnCampus facilities wise: the lifts felt extremely dodgy and like they were just going to break down at any moment, most of the computers needed new peripherals and the canteen is better avoided especially if you have any allergies or are conscious about the amount of money you're spending. The core campus staff were wonderful though and the building itself is lovely, it's just that the organisation which it houses is an absolute shambles.nnOverall I'd give this college a miss, regardless of which campus or course you'll be on. Likewise for people looking to eat here
Went open day with son. Tutors didn't appear to be aware of course content, structure or relevance. Nor relevance of experience. Tutor failed to speak to potential student directly despite being given and acknowledging strong cues.
Best college ever, All the tutors are Amazing, patience, kind, and understanding. They make studies easier, they listen to your needs and support in any way they could. I love all my tutors mostly Karen Fenn she's the best. I wish you all the very best in life
