Although I live close by I used to avoid Codwallop because their chips weren't great. This has completely changed now, and it's my preferred chippy. They've done a great job of keeping going during the pandemic too.

Lovely freshly cooked fish and chips. Selection of favourites like pies, burgers and chicken pieces. Not too greasy and a lovely fresh taste. Friendly service too.

Great little chippy! Love the name!We fed 2 adults and 2 kids for under a tenner! Staff were friendly and it was a 5 min drive from our hotel Frome Flyer so when the Beefeater was overbooked this Chip Shop was our saviour! Nice food great service and very quick!

Disgusting chips, obviously reheated from lunchtime. Don't go there early evening.Staff very helpful.
