Just inside Cobtree County Park. Large car parking area. Cafe is situated inside The Sir Garrard Tyrwhitt-Drake Visitor Centre. Not long ago refurbished. A pit stop during a long Saturday walk. Toilets available. Not tea on the menu as a problem with the urn but sausage bap was nice. Had a bottle of water but unfortunately the cafe doesn't have a plastic recycling bin, really! A water bowl for dogs to refresh. Public golf course in the centre of the park. Kid-friendliness: Play ground specifically for kids Parking: Huge fee paying car park available.
Was so expensive. So so expensive. A biscuit was near on £5 and it was quite inedible and ended up in the bin. Drinks for 2 adults 2 children and a cookie and 2 ice creams came to almost £20. I like the park itself but even then you have to pay for parking. Probably won't get snacks or drinks here again.Food: 2/5
Now offering pup cups and doggy ice cream. Lovely little cafe but it can get very busy at peak times.Recommended dishesSausage BAP
Those food photos are not what you get I'm afraid, but it's not bad. Lovely park, well looked after. Beautiful colours in Autumn.
Prices not bad yummy hot chocolate. Nice to see doggy options available too. Missed the food though unfortunately
Plenty to offer regarding drinks and food. Plenty of places to sit either inside or out. Kid-friendliness: Play park zoo themed. Parking: Plenty of spaces Wheelchair accessibility: Pavements are smooth
This cafe is sadly poor and expensive £2.75 for a 500ml bottle of coke tells me that next time I will take a drink with me. The member of staff on duty was cleaning in a back area and didn't notice me for some time and to be honest I felt like an interruption to her day but to be fair maybe it was just a bad day for her. Seating inside and put, surrounding outside are pleasant with a huge play area fir kids and lots if room fir family picnics etc. And woodland walks.
I love walking here with my dog, and the kids love playing in the woodland. However I find the cafe very very over priced!! £2.95 for a cornetto?! The food is lovely, and the staff are friendly just very over priced. Be prepared to take your own food or have deep pockets!!
Looks a nice cafe until you go in and see the prices! Absolutely nuts Coffee is £3 for a 12 oz cup Sandwich plain cheese and ham £3.95 Slice of cake £3.45 Muffin £2.95 Kit kat bar £1.50 You may aswell drive past go yo the petrol station and get a meal deal for £3 I don't mind paying a little extra for convenience but in the current financial crisis profiteering is just wrong!
Not a good place to eat. The sausage roll was completely dried out and the wife's sandwich was also dried out. The young lad serving wasn't a lot of help. The park is great but I won't be going into the cafe again
