We were recommended this pizza place by a staff member at the Castle Inn in West Lulworth and it didn’t disappoint.nThe staff members were friendly, attentive and efficient and the pizzas were easily among the best we’ve ever had. The crust is light and fluffy and the toppings on our meat feast and chilli chicken pizzas were so generous and tasty.nWe were quite full but couldn’t resist the Ferrero and biscoff sundaes and we’re so pleased we ordered them as they finished off the meal perfectly.nThank you from some impressed Aussies.
Post-golf, slightly sunburnt, mildly humbled by the course, and fully ready to demolish food — we roll up to Coastal Crust… only to see the dreaded sign:nn“Closed Mondays.”nnEmotional damage.nnBUT — plot twist of the year — they’ve just started opening Mondays. Destiny. Fate. Pizza gods intervening.nnWe order the Posh Hawaiian, Margherita, and the Mediterranean board, and within minutes the table transforms into something that feels wildly inappropriate for how casually we walked in.nnThe posh Hawaiian?nThis is the version that ends arguments. Sweet pineapple, salty cured meat, crispy edges — it’s not controversial, it’s just correct.nnThe Margherita?nPure fundamentals. That crust is doing Olympic-level work — airy, blistered, lightly charred — carrying fresh tomato and melty cheese like it’s proud of it.nnAnd then… the Mediterranean board quietly steals the show.nnBecause that bread?nnMinced garlic. On top. Warm. Slightly charred.nnGame over. That’s not a side — that’s a lifestyle. You tear “one more piece” about 14 times and suddenly you’re emotionally attached to it.nnAdd in hummus, olives, pickled bits — everything playing its role like a perfectly balanced lineup.nnAt some point, conversation stops. Not because there’s nothing to say — but because this deserves your full attention.nFrom almost being turned away by an outdated sign… to one of the most clutch dinner wins imaginable.nn5 — saved by new hours, powered by garlic bread, ruined all future pizza expectations.
Wow, this is the best pizza that I have had for a long time and I have eaten in some very good pizza places including world class winners.nThe base was freshly made and hand stretched, the toppings were generous and different, but they had some classics too.nI had the Charcuterie Meatfeast with Tomato base, Mozzarella, Pepperoni, Chorizo and Salami. Which was full of meat, tasty and delicious. My partner had Chicken and chill jam which she only allowed me a small taste as she liked it so much.nWe topped our meal off with some fantastic ice cream sundaes.nThis is a family run business and the family dynamics were great as a result the service was great too.nWe would love to go back often, unfortunately they are a long way from Australia.
A very last minute visit, but what a find. The lady who I assume was the owner or manager was delightful, and the restaurant had a family run feel to it.nnThe garlic bread and pizzas were all delicious and the ice cream was a great treat at the end too.nnThe service was prompt and all of the staff greeted us with a smile.nnWould recommend!
Very nice pizzas, good atmosphere, happy place. No qualms about going off-menu. Excellent chilli oil. Would definitely go back again!
