Weren’t very cooperative didn’t serve my son an energy drink he has a crippling caffeine addiction and this is what keeps him going. Very upset to say the least will not be shopping here again thanks
The co-op or cooperative was started by the Rochdale pioneers. You can become a member of the co-op. The Witney co-op was a Safeway a few years ago. The coop was where Robert Dyas is now by the town hall. You can park behind the co-op. The photos are of a few item available. The ginger stuff can be made in to a fantastic ginger wine. I can post a recipe if anyone is interested.
Got some lunch from here, good choice of food to go mainly based around sandwiches, pastas and salads. Shelves were well stocked, the shop seemed clean and tidy with friendly staff. Will probably be here again tomorrow….
Lovely young lad named Michael helped me.with my grocery shopping last night.
Call me old fashioned but I remember a Co-op with manned tills and while not being exactly M&S it was a friendly place to shop. The new lay out with self check out is cold and sterile. Staff are very thin on the ground, though my heart goes out to them as they look rushed off their feet. So 5/5 for corporate efficiency and 0/5 for actually being somewhere I might want to shop.
amazing store good discounts and brilliant cookies. However I did notice 2 shoplifters when I was on my weekly shop they come in around 1:25pm every week day and they mostly steal sweets. But other than that store is brilliant and exceptional cookies one of the shoplifters goes by the nick name "CJ"
It is so infuriating coming into this co-op, where the tills are never open! You either have to use the self service point or queue at the kiosk. I've literally never seen the tills in use.
Expensive for fruit which is half rotten before sell by date, most of coop in Witney is expensive and I'd rather save money and go to waitrose. This 'supermarket' is far from being super. The queues are horrendous and the self service areas not managed very well. Good for ciggies if you need a quick fix but not anywhere close to a shop to do good food cooking, more like a poor Iceland version of supermarket, just its not frozen; just rotting
Don't normally shop in co-op mainly because of parking but they do have good offer's most of the time and being open till late always is a bonus. Got Halloween sweets etc for £1 when Sainsbury's was bit expensive. I would shop more if parking was not an issue and Pop in now and then when I'm in town.
Coop in Witney has an excellent team, kind and very professional. Some things could be a bit expensive but they offer great meals and some salads are great, like the salmon and potatoes.
