Such rude staff, ask an old staff member a couple of questions and he mumbled the answer twice without even looking, then when I went to the till, the lady asked me for a bag and I said yes, I’m assuming she didn’t hear me cause she didn’t get me one so I said sorry I asked for a bad and she said angrily, no you didn’t and I said yes i did sorry, then got me one and didn’t say anything after that
9 out of 10 of the staff are excellent, and sometimes the queues are a bit long if you are there in peak times, aside that its a very handy shop. More recently sometimes products are a bit low but its only when they are due a delivery. This is my local store and they do usually go the extra mile. Like when I asked if they had a product in the delivery because the shelf was empty, they went out the back and got it out the delivery crate for me. I appreciate that.
I have shopped here for about 20 years and cut my membership card up yesterday. One lady on the till was so rude, not for the first time either. Judging by all the other comments I am not the first and probably not going to be the last. Awful experience
i went up to richard as nobody in the shop was coming to the til to help me and i had to ask him how much a meal deal was 3 times before he finally told me. I got a dirty look and a rude comment under his breath after i asked him to help me. Really ruined my good mood.
Most of the staff are absolutely lovely, except for a couple who are vile. I was queuing up to pay, and a member of staff was talking to the lady at the till. I honestly thought she was working, so I approached the till to pay, and it wasn’t until I was walking out the door that she started mouthing off, saying how I’d pushed in front of her. I also work in retail, and let me tell you, even if my shift had ended and I spoke to a customer that way, I would be hearing it from the managers.

I went into co-op this morning to get a meal deal. I was using the self service checkout and unfortunately my card declined - my fault entirely. So I ask one of the employees to reset the checkout machine so the next person could use it and she kept on saying loudly my card declined! I then went to put back the meal deal and as I did that and walked out of the shop, I heard her start to tell other customers that my card declined!!! First of all, who’s going to care, secondly how bleedin rude do you have to be to start telling people that someone’s card declined - she did it rather loudly as well. Appalling.
Mainly fo here for the GRO vegan cookies in the green packets : really pricey shop not great selection for vegan in my opinion. Never seem to have the veg I actually need/want
Excellent local shop. The starf are friendly and helpful. Superb amount of stock for a store of its size. As you would expect, the regular users are on first name turms with the starf, that adds to the community feel, common to coop stores.
Usually well stocked for its size - the bakery produces a variety of products, again surprising to me for the size of the store. Plenty of parking round the back.
