They do not employ anyone with autism my son worked at one of their south shields branch's mortimer road first fortnight no problems then a new store manager took over and immediately made his life hell then eventually finished him.i will never go in that store again. Manager a disgusting person I thought the coop was a massively respected company.not true shocking.people with autism have a right to be given a chance in life....not at the coop
What a rip off, shop here if you've more money than sense! Absolutely everything is overpriced, they even have the gaul to overcharge kids for the cheapest chocolate treats fudge & freddo PM'd 25p, Co-op shelf price 30p.nAVOID....
Worst customer service….Always missing products when ordered online and they dont give any refund,Just today i placed an order on uber eats with order number F1448,I made a big list just to get my main item and that is what was missing 2 x Co-op Fairtrade Bananas,when informed the store they arent even sorry for it and simply said call support on uber eats.Worst store in southshields.
Normally order delivery as I have mobility issues and the coop is the cheapest same day but this is the 3rd time this year it hasn't turned up and all the notice given is a txt saying there is delays. No guarantee it will be or won't be delivered.
It has a large rain of products some coop's own. The staff are very friendly. Very good range of Birthday/occasion cards. Extensive selection of beers, wines and spirits. A coffee machine. Has a cashpoint. Co-op members card is a great scheme. There is a cash point here. Used to be a pub, much better as a supermarket!!
